To my Marine Brothers, I SALUTE you both! USN Retired (BTW: hearing his father speak, brought tears to my eyes!) Your Fathers Name... You got it from your Father, It was all he had to give. So it's yours to use and cherish, For as long as you live. If you lose the watch he gave you, It can always be replaced. But a black mark on your name, Son, Can never be erased. It was clean the day you took it, And worthy name to bear. When he got it from his Father, There was no dishonor there. So make sure you guard it wisely, After all is said and done. You'll be glad the name is spotless, When you give it to your son.

@@edfurmsm9188 To answer your question, that young marine is standing at attention. Not all soldiers stand at attention like that…. Marines definitely do. They learn that very specific posture beginning day one of boot camp and it becomes ingrained muscle memory for the whole of their lives thereafter. In this case, the young man’s musculature and physique amplifies the intensity of the posture making it very prominent. That intensity and physical prowess is a hallmark of most marines. Standing at attention for any soldier is their way of giving their full undivided attention where it needs to be, preventing distraction, and is their way of showing formal respect to the person to whom they are giving their attention. Such attention and respect is typically given to those who are of higher rank or to those who have earned it, in this case his father. This ceremony is utterly beautiful. I am glad that they shared it.

Also, this father deserves praise as well! He raised a respectable son and ill say this about him... it takes a big man to speak like that to any man in front of others and not give a damn what anyone thinks about his words and actions, because he is having a once in a lifetime moment with his son that will never come by again.

God bless you, Mr Arias! ARE YOU PREPARED FOR ETERNITY? Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own Psoul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? ARE YOU 100% CERTAIN THAT YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE? Romans 3:23 For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. ( Everyone will die a physical death, but everyone does NOT have to die the second death of both the body and the soul in hell.) God's Plan of Salvation. __________________ John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is THE GIFT of God: 9 NOT of works, lest any man should boast. Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. PLEASE DON'T PUT IT OFF.... James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 2 Corinthians 6:2 For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation. Eternal life cannot be earned, it is a FREE GIFT. The great cost of this GIFT is the SINLESS BLOOD of the Saviour, Jesus Christ. The GIFT of eternal life is available to anyone who, after recognizing his or her own sinfulness, places his or her personal faith in Jesus Christ as thier Saviour. 1 Corinthians 15 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And GOD Bless you too I am proud to have to as a fellow American in a era where there are so few patriot's. And no your not the only one who did cry. It was tear worthy and as men in a situation like this where we are presented with a situation in which a Father shows such love and respect for his son, we have permission to cry.
