I definitely want the deep dive into isolation transformers.

Eric has a lot of knowledge in this area. Also a lot of experience in this field. The kids add a special touch.

Wish I would have known about your videos years ago. It would have allowed me to better understand the whole issue of electricity on-board and around my boat. Easy understood, informative videos. Thank you.

Excellent explanatory video, I wanted to know the galvanic isolators that device uses for failure tests. I know that they use two diode bridges that can circulate the current in both directions. the question is what device is used between both ends to make it work failsafe. use a dc or ac electrolytic capacitor. or use another element. Could you explain me how is the configuration? Thank you. I am a specialist in the area of corrosion and cathodic protection. I am at your disposal for any suggestion.

What size galvanic isolator would you suggest for a 27’ boat with max 1500w onboard ac power consumption? Shore power plug is a 16A and boat is in Europe. The problem is that sometimes they move us around and other pillars may have 32A plug. Thanks!

Check out the Victron isolator VDI-32A. That should do.

Good schema for boats grounding circuit in marina, but unfortunately the core idea of galvanic isolator is not revealed. This makes this video belong to the 'marketing' series of guys presenting 'magic boxes' without explaining, what's inside and why this should help. Definitely not a scientific way of problem solving. Why diodes? Why not resistor, not capacitor, not inductor? The answer is behind the idea of 'grounding' (this should be explained when you say 'dont gut green wire') and the diode's V-A curve.
