Ай бұрынI finally decided to complete Mario Bros. 2 (Lost Levels) by beating it once with warps and once without. This turned out to be one of the hardest challenges I've ever accomplished. It was fun but also one of the most maddening experiences I've ever had.

I had Mario All-Stars on SNES, but Lost Levels was the game I played the least. It's not only incredibly hard, but really janky too. It almost feels like you have to cheat to progress in some places. I'm of the opinion that just because a game is really hard, that doesn't mean it's bad, but I think a game can be so difficult that it's not really fun to play. Ghosts and Goblins also crosses that line with me (though that game very fairly gives you infinite continues and let's you keep the knife weapon between game overs, so I can understand the appeal). I can't fathom playing Lost Levels in full without saving!

Totally agree, a game's difficulty can make it more fun in some cases, but games like this difficulty is just because the game is junky and wayyyy too precise. I never made it through Ghosts and Goblins, but I did get pretty far in the SNES one. Beating Lost Levels without saving feels absolutely impossible. Maybe I'll do a challenge video in the future if I want to make a 9 hour video 😂

I wouldnt know, because I NEVER tried it, but people say that the DLC for new super Mario bros 2 is actually harder than this game. I personally can't bring myself to imagine it. Why Nintendo would pull a stunt like this AGAIN in the modern era is beyond me But as someone who beat like half of this game, im not willing to verify the difficulty of the NSMB2 DLC

I think that DLC is definitely the hardest thing they've made for a Mario game in a long time, but it's absolutely not as hard as Lost Levels. It didn't take me nearly as long or cause as much heart take to beat the DLC levels.

My first rage quit was this game at 8 yrs old. It literally broke my heart upon playing it cause I sucked. Coming from Mario 1 which was hard enough as is for a kid of my age. To this day..I will not play this game😅.. masterpiece though..no doubt😀

@@retroreviews_sarcasm hahaha lost levels used to leave me with blisters on my thumbs and palms, and only getting to like 2-1 after 3 hours of playing
