Some of these shortcuts can actually save you from incoming items so they're kind of useful in some situations

This was the first video game that I ever had or played. I got this when I was 3 years old, 12 years ago... I knew almost all of those tricks even before watching this video! I have played Mario Kart Double Dash for probably thousands of hours...

In Waluigi's Stadium where there are the 3 Piranha plants, you can drive on the left side of the road and pass over the pots.

You forgot the double boxes around the delphino statue in Peaches Beach.

Theres one in Bowsers Castle where you use a Blue Shell at the finish line and it should boost you up to the Kill Plain which will respawn you at the upper part just after some stairs

It can take a bit more time, but you can also go around the fountain just before the finish line at Peach Beach

With DC (Daisy's Cruiser), there's a way to cut from when you first go off the stairs with a mini turbo, you can go into another one by doing a very quick mini turbo again..

I was hoping for more secret shortcuts like the Bowser jump and Yoshi jump but still some sound advice. the Waligi Stadium glitch is something I'm going to have to try didn't know that one!

i also saved time at BABY PARK through ALSO drifting to the OPPOSITE direction (and boost) directly after the sharp drift around the corner !

If the game was released on the Switch, the game would let you choose a difficulty, and THEN the CC. Also, all unlockables will be easier to get, and this will include the Parade Kart. Which still means you need to get a gold trophy in the All Cup Tour, on Mirror Mode.

Out of the games you mentioned, the one I played was Mario Kart Wii.

the peach beach shortcut is so it drops yoqu down low, but gets you really good items( only should use on the first lap)

The Mario Kart 7 remake of Dino Dino Jungle is a lot easier to use the first shortcut. Also, the bridge is now slathered in mud, so it is best to use a mushroom to reach the glider ramp.

In Bowser's Castle the shortcut you can take, you don't need to drift, you just need to drive through and turn (no drifting). I tried it so many times with drifting and mushrooms and I always missed and overshot it. If you just drive, you'll only end up bumping into the wall. Drift if you want to to avoid hitting the wall.

I have Mario Kart: Double Dash for my GC, so I knew about the most of this shortcuts! The shortcut I use the most is the one in the Bowser Castle where the big Bowser statue spits out Fireballs ;)

Best Mario Kart ever. Wii is a close second, I would say 38 Deluxe is 3rd beat

That's a good point but I do have to show shortcuts that relate to mushroom using as well since they were designed that way. But like you said there are some in this video that do not require mushrooms. So some shortcuts help you in first and some help to catch up to first place

In DK Mountain you don't have to use the mushroom to jump off the cliff. If you just drive off of it you shouldn't have a problem falling down.

There is one in rainbowroad, at the start you can jump out and land on a lower platform

i was watching for the one i used to use in rainbow road.. there is a spot to jump off and land on a lower part of the track

The alternate routes usually give you items, especially when pipes are involved.

Since u will need a shrooms for most of the shortcuts, and considering u want to use these to finish 1st, would be rare to be in a position to have shrooms to use them anyway. Unless you play as Toad, not likely u will get them. Cause usually top 3 never get good items, and ud have to be in those spots to be able to finish 1st anyway..sooo yeah.

It's a bit hard to explain where it is, but it's in a turn early in the stage, a bit tricky to get the jump, but you save a lot of time if you can pull it of.

in rainbow eoad right be for that star cannon thing on that turn you can go through that small gap.

I want to point out to you all that with the DK Mountain glitch across the crack. If you use small people and one of the small people karts you cant make a really sharp turn and go off that edge withought a mushroom withought even slowing down.

On the boost spiral in rainbow road, dont drift, and dont drift on the next turns either until the one leading to tje pipe thing.

Basically, use your mushroom when you don't need to!

well on donkey kong montain for the jump over the hole you can jump it without a mushroom but you need to know how to drift in it xD also @ daisy´s ship there is a glitch were you can fall through the stairs ;)

I feel a few shortcuts aren’t worth taking because they’re either too complicated to perform successfully, or take more time than the standard paths. I never knew about the entrances to the shortcuts in Mushroom Ridge and Yoshi Circuit. I prefer to take the second shortcut of Peach Beach in Mariokart 6: Wii, the same goes for DK Mountain, except I prefer to perform it in DK “Summit” because I feel it’s easier to pull off.

pretty much the wii wasn't very groundbreaking when it came to hd graphics but at least it was polished

you know the yoshi circuit is actually possible shroomless, its insanely difficult

On dk mountain in mk wii it's faster to stay to the side if you're wheeling
