If you can get enough people to bring their own RC cars and race them backwards on the track you can make your own Toad's Turnpike or highway course.

Idea: you should do this challenge that I like to call the birds eye view challenge where instead of looking at your switch, you look at your track and control that way

Sadly they advise a radius of about 5 meters from the switch, or else you'll loose connection with the kart... But we can dream :)

Troy, the reason the lap counts are off is because the camera isn’t capturing enough of the gate to see that it should update. I suggest that you move the gates and shortcuts so that your kart can fully see the gate from any entry point. That should fix the problem.

I think you aren’t getting lap counts because your shortcut puts you too close to gate 1 to be able to read it, you need to approach it straight on from farther away I think

I think the laps weren't counting because the short-cut prevented the camera from scanning the 1st Gate when reached.

I’ve got one of these and I’ve ran into the problem many times. The lap counting is bugged because the first gate is immediately after a sharp turn (the shortcut).

the lap count is wierd because of the shortcut before the first gate. the kart cant see the first gate, which casues it to not count the lap if you have a bit more of a straightaway before the first gate, it will count.

Hey Troy my guess is that the finish line gate was not fully in view of the camera after you took the shortcut at the end of the lap, so it was unable to see that you went through it. Maybe that could be the problem?

It probably glitched because of the short cut at the finish, which prevents the camera from reading the sign correctly

The lap sometimes "dont count" when camera doesnt see the gate.This is why its not ideal to put gates in corners where you have to do significant turns because the camera might not see the gate and then it wont count as lap.At 5:37 only half of the gate was visible in camera frame so it didnt recognize it as gate and thats why the lap didnt count.You could have still go backwards until camera saw the gate and then finish instead of going whole lap all over again.At 6:00 it actually didnt recognize the gate again (the AR finish line was not there) because you were too close to the gate and camera again didnt see it until you went backward a little bit and thats when camera recognized the gate a 6:02 and the AR finish line appeared.

this video game is amazing. Nintendo is not just for kids. It is so that adults do not forget to be children. this Saturday I bought at bestbuy Mario kart set. and I have to wait a few days for luigi set to arrive by mail, they didn't have luigi set available in the store just online. This is going to be epic when I play with my nephews. I have 5 kittens that were trying to catch Mario's car and that added more intensity to the game, until they got tired and just lay on the track and it was hilarious 😂🏆🏆🏆🏆
