I don’t know if you’ll see this Troy, but these videos with no intro how they used to be are so much more enticing to me, although it might be just because I like the video idea Edit: I love this video so much, just you and nick having a good time, no cuts in the race, just like the old days:)

This was an awesome video!! You should try doing advanced shortcuts with low tier bikes. It's a challenge, but I did manage to do the gap jump on mushroom gorge with the shooting star after 7 tries. 😅

I actually found out a method to get the coconut mall glitch to work! It’s similar to what Nick was doing but you start with the first escalator (the one that’s declining) and at the beginning of the pole at the end of the rail you start drifting. It’s best done with a outside drift bike (I typically use rosalina with shooting star)

Dude, you can just go a little further back to activate the checkpoint marker that’ll make the lap count. Only reason I know is because I found out for myself after enough screwing around with these shortcuts.

It’s just like Wario’s Gold Mine, where you have to go back a certain distance to activate the checkpoint (or whatever it is called) or the lap won’t count.

It is so crazy how this game broke (I think) 23 out of the 32 tracks with ultra shortcuts

AFAIK it is 32/32 now. The rest are TAS

Correct! 21/32 Ultra shortcuts + 2 Ultra longcuts (rBC3 and rMC). In RTA terms, there are 22 ultra shortcuts with one (DDR) being physically impossible.

I tried getting the mushroom gorge glitch in time trials and I almost got the cut but I got so much air and clipped through the top of the mountain.

that happens sometimes, it wont count the lap, you need to not get too much air but not too little

"Mario Kart Wii has a strange problem. Does this problem have anything to do with the gameplay, the graphics, or anything like that? No. The problem is with the game's mechanics. Many tracks allow you to do large skips and still have a lap count. A common definition was made for all these shortcuts, The Ultra Shortcut But would you need TAS for any of these? No, with a few exceptions. Ever since the game's realease, players have worked with each other to discover as many of these shortcuts as possible. This is the story of those players, and their journey to break Mario Kart Wii as much as possible"

"we HAVE to do the Ultra Shortcut" >goes to rBC3 and doesn't do the TAS only ultra >goes to BC, a track with no ultra Hman, I expected better of you. You should have forced them to discover new ultras to win. That would make our job a lot easier.
