I have so many memories waking up to a good breakfast and my to brothers duking it out in wii sports baseball which today is my favorite as I play baseball in real life. I watch MarioKart Wii videos regularly but this hit me with a level of nostalgia I didn't know existed... I love the, idk how to describe it... naive/pure reviews of the tracks? You totally described how 8 year old me (and probably the average casual player) felt about the game back then, ignoring all the shortcuts, how unbalanced some items are, etc. While in hindsight this is very similar to an average game review, you really made it feel special somehow and I love you for doing that.

MKWii was always a more competitive game, and even with 8 being out there's still many tournaments and world record attempts

I love this game to death. I love he chaos that happens in this game, as well as the roster, music, and vibe to it that the other Mario Karts don't have. As a kid, me and my 2 older sisters played this game all the time after school. I still play it all the time, but my sisters don't as they are much older and aren't into video games as much as I am, but whenever we do decide the play the Wii, it's always this choice. It is a tad bit hard for me to call this nostalgic since I play this everyday, but playing it back in the day...man. So many memories. I also loved the tournaments in this one. And this sounds weird but the unbalancing in this game in my opinion adds to what I said about the vibe to this game. And man the tricks were fun to do. I like them better in this game than in the other games. It is kinda boosh how bikes were really good(besides the spear which in my opinion is the WORST VEICHLE IN THE GAME >:( ), but still. To make a long story(or in this case, comment) short, I love Mario Kart Wii. While it is kinda bias, I'll always have a special place in my heart for this game. :) P.S. When an computer player gets a star, their music will get all distorted! It's kinda cool!

Rainbow Road is by far my favorite track in Mario Kart Wii.

BRO MK WII IS MY LIFE RN! This is my fav mario kart game, the music is amazing, and the characters are amazing. I like the reactions when they do flips and when you pass them. Somehow i always end up dancing to the music on every track, no matter how focused i am. i also manage to start talking to the t.v when i get overtaken at the very end.

I always loved Mario Kart, Sadly one day whilst we were on vacation some burglars stole our TV and Wii with the Mario Kart disc still in it. Then about 3 to 5 years later we bought Mario kart again and it was still as good as I remembered. The wii is one of the best consoles I have ever played with!

I agree with NH on a lot of the points - I think my favourite tracks on the Wii are the maple-one as well as Rainbow Road. However I also REALLY like Peach's Garden since it was my favourite track on the DS and replaying it on a bigger screen is just wonderful.

honestly it's kinda hard for me to feel nostalgia from this game, as some one who still plays the game through the custom servers people developed, as well as on custom tracks. this game is definitely one of my favorite games of all time, and for me it was mostly multiplayer that really kept me playing actively. but this video brings me back to the elementary school days where i played to get all the characters, get good time trials, and played with friends and family, back to a more casual time when i didn't even have wifi. but then my family finally got a router, and a whole new world had opened up for me, playing online with other people was where i had the most fun with the game. this video is great, i love seeing videos like this as it always brings me back to those simpler times, and allows me to see the game in the same lenses i did almost 10 years ago.

My family still plays this game almost everyday, I love it

Although my opinions on a few courses are slightly different, you couldn’t have described the game in a more perfect way. This game is definitely my favorite game of all time along with prime fortnite. I don’t get more nostalgic than when I think about or watch this game. I have so many countless and unbelievable memories with family, friends, and neighbors, on Fridays, weekends, days off, vacations and Christmas days over my cousins house and at sleepovers. I used to play this all the time and it’s clear that it’s the best Wii game of all time, no question. I have so many memories and nothing brought more happiness than this game. It will forever be in my heart, this game was so fun ❤️

It's the chaos that really gets me a lot of the time and I love it so much for it. Edited: and for the AIs targeting you, when I was much younger, I was playing a long set of races and the two characters that butted heads with me the most during this specific round of races was Donkey and Funkey Kong. I was having the most trouble with them because either they were better than the others or they just targeted me the most. Quite literally it felt like the game programs in that some few select random characters to be on top and fight with the most.

i remember when i moved house we had no internet for a few weeks, but we had our wii. All that time we only spent time playing this game for entertainment and honestly it was great.

It was my first video game, and I spent most of my time exploring every inch of each map I could, to get a good look at everything detail and really imagine living in these worlds.

I am still addicted to this game I play it with gamecube controller‘s The game isn’t really wildly chaotic unless you choose aggressive items mode. Are usually play versus mode normal items usually set to just bikes Got 100cc choosing either Daisy or Luigi and going back-and-forth until I see a team I like Usually consists of any of two adult daisy Luigi that I’m not playing as and baby Luigi or baby Daisy Diddy Kong as well as several others. Favorite tracks that I most consistently play Wario‘s gold mine, Maple tree way, the Waluigi stadium?, bowser‘s SNES track, usually these tracks because it’s fun to place a banana or fake item box near the edge of a jump so that I can wipe out the other team.

I was around 7 when my parents decided to get me this game. Mario Kart wii is literally the reason why mk is one of my favorite Nintendo games. When the course came up along with the music I just couldn’t help but smile and remember how bad I was at playing back then. I wish I could get the game now but unfortunately my wii and the game don’t work so hopefully I’m able to get both sometime in the future because oh boy do I miss playing this game

MarioKart Wii was the first Wii game we got for the console, almost 12 years ago. The computer-generated racers were absolutely vicious, unlike in N64 where they existed pretty independently of the player. I played that game for hours with my neighbor and my cousins. Unfortunately it did start more arguments than any other video game. But, it was endless fun, I really can't wait to play it again soon, thanks for the memories.

Last summer, (2020) I was obsessed with playing the Wii. I played Mario Kart and both Super Mario Galaxy games. It felt good playing all three of them over again. It brought back a lot of nostalgia because me and my two brothers played all these games together. In 2008 I was 4, my brother 6, and my other brother 10. One of the most memorable things I did when I was little was play battle mode, coin runners. I’d always choose Funky Stadium. Normal races and stuff is always choose Rosalina. I am 16 now, and can’t wait to show my future kids the cool things I played back in the day

I had this game myself like 9 years ago but damn my fondest memories were from my grandpas house playing with my sister and two cousins. Those were the great days. I recently found d my old mkwii did put it in my like 10 year old Wii and looked at my stats. My favs were bowser, the dolphin dasher, and course was toads factory
