I love how they gave the Koopalings new voice clips, and I just remembered that that you have to fight them in the same order you do in Super Mario World, which just makes it all the more better.

This proves that the Koopalings are much harder to defeat in the remake (except for Ludwig, but the Magic-Blast can also K.O Mario and Luigi in one hit if they don't counter it)

Holy crap, the remake is not playing around regarding the Koopalings. They think it's too simple in the gba version, so they just give them new gimmicks.

I like them more in the remake of Superstar Saga. They seem more lively, and expressive with how they talk. In the original, they just made weird grunts...

So glad to see they increased Wendy's HP haha, the fight in the original was a joke, the bomb-omb wasn't even close to be threatening. 3 attacks for a boss was laughable.

I like how they made the Koopalings feel more unique with their fight now. For example, Ludwig in the remake is literally just Shrowser, where it is an all or nothing fight.

Some of the koopalings were more difficult than the original. I got my first game over in this game against larry due to the 5 turn limit.

I defeated Ludwig in the remake on my first try, most likely because the game runs at a smooth 60 FPS, and I did not panic. The magic he shoots out does not travel very fast either, so stay calm, and hammer away.

I think this rests its case. The Koopalings were easy in the original, not so much in the remake. *lol* The remake does make the Bros. moves easier to pull off though, thanks to the practice mode you can use to perfect the moves.

Ludwig's fight is very short in the remake due to going all out at the start. But can I just say, that is a lot of magic he created. If you can't send it back then it's an instant KO, he also attacks you with more magic to distract you. This means that Ludwig is very powerful with magic

yeah I don't get why ppl are mad about Ludwig's battle differences lol it's a lot funnier in the remake. the original is pretty dull and can be beaten almost as quickly. Looking at the timing differences in this vid of defeating the koopalings between the original and remake, most of the remake version the battles are more drawn out by 2-3 minutes, Ludwig's original fight is only slightly longer than the remake by 10 seconds so yeah I'd rather have the remake Ludwig where he at least has a funny and unique gimmick going on to give the fight more flavor. I think the only thing I'd personally change is instead of him standing there taking the giant blast, he gets into a deflecting match with the bros (like how it's done with Larry) until someone gets KO'd. that's my opinion tho :') edit: thinking some more, another idea could have been to maybe use the part where he spins in his shell for a bit in battle before he decides, screw this, I'm just gonna bring out the big bang now, though it wouldn't have prolonged the fight by much and is mostly pointless but it could have added some extra bits of challenge for some, who knows. I still stand by the remake being better as a fight purely going by ludwig's more developed personality, with him being a show-off. him being able to deal 999 damage is actually pretty crazy.

It only now just hit me that you fight the koopalings in the same order as you fight them in super mario world.

I kind of wish they kept Roy’s ground pound attack from the OG version, it made sense for him to have that attack since whenever he lands on the ground in the 2D games it stuns you.

I think they took steroids in the 3DS remake because of how much of a pushover they are in the OG version.

Ugh ludwig simply gave the bros the weapon needed to beat him in one shot. Sure, one of the wand shots got through but all they needed was one counter to take him out! Very disappointing from one of my favorite koopalings....(and why did they shrink him? Very unimposing from a size standpoint)

I've never played the Original on the GBA, but i have a feeling that it's easier than the 3DS version, which i played and completed.
