Mario punching Yoshi is a sprite mechanic. Nintendo showed art that Mario is pointing at something, and Yoshi just sticks his tounge out.

And then there’s the Iron Bros challenge where you have to complete 50 normal difficulty levels without dying, skipping levels, translating level titles or using the program that works like downloading levels to view their layout did in Mario Maker 1. Even PangeaPanga gave up on trying this challenge and he’s very good at Mario Maker 2.
