"Wario Land 2, not Mario Land..." The Wario Land games are official Mario Land sequels though. In the title screen of Wario 1 it also says "Mario Land 3" on it. And weirdly enough, on the Super Famicom cartridge of Mario World, it says "Super Mario Bros. 4" as far as I've heard.

I'm lowkey surprised they haven't added Goombrats in, mostly because of how simple of an enemy variant they are(literally just a Goomba that doesn't walk off platforms), and how said enemy is already in SMM2.

Out of all of these game styles i wasn't expecting a candy's adventure game style to show up, pretty amazing.

I think the Cheep-cheeps in the Mario Arcade style are those chomping enemies that Mario sets off his leash to fight DK Jr. in DK Jr.

I think Yoshi’s island is my favourite, I love how everything looks like it has been painted.

Really love the thwomp from Mario Land, the custom additions for Wario are super cool, and I reslly hope they can get a kirby skin figured out to play with all those custom enemies. As an overall base though, I do still like All-Stars the most.

The fishbone in the city theme looks like the guy with the moustache of the Village People. XD

I have been waiting for this video ever since I learned about Mario Multiverse

In arcade mode underwater, those things are klaptraps from Donkey Kong Jr. Also for Five Nights at Candy's to be specific, the arcade style originated in the 3rd game.

Oh wow, this just goes to show how much time and effort has been put into this game. The amount of content is wild. I'd love to see them open it up to the public at some point, but I can't help but feel they worry about Nintendo's Wrath if they do. We all know how Law Suit happy Nintendo can get when it comes to their IP. (intellectual property)

Great Video! I love to see how the enemies change in each game style! I just ask myself why Wart from Super Mario Bros. 2 it's not in Bowser's Place, like Wario in Mario Land 2? But Whatever... My favorite Enemies are from Yoshi's Island i guess, because i really like Yoshi's Island Artstyle, but all game styles are cool and unique. I love Mario Multiverse! Enjoyed the showcase. Thanks for doing it! Wish you didn’t fast forward through parts so much. Tried pausing, but sometimes something that took 10+ sec were over in one sped up, and sometimes animations were just wounded and recovering because of how slow before they appeared on screen and how soon you hit them.

Could you imagine your first taste of Mario was the SMB Special? It was made for Japanese computers in the mid 80s by Hudson Soft. They had to work with those limitations. Imagine what they thought when they got a Famicom

I saw the whole thing. I'm nearly a year late, but I'll respond anyway. Five favorite styles in order: 1. Super Mario World - Still my favorite game in the series and the only one with four types of Koopa Troopas and four different Yoshi's with different abilities. 2. New Super Mario Bros Wii - I adored this game and I still love the updated looks of all the characters. 3. Mario Land 2 - Interestingly, I had a Game Gear and not a Game Boy growing up. I love how the enemies are somewhat reminiscent of a classic Disney or Warner Bros cartoon from the 1920s or 1930s. It has a wonderful retro feel about it all the way to Mario's feather when wielding the fire flower powerup. 4. Super Mario City Theme - I loved how more of the modern world is mixed with original Super Mario Bros characters. 5. Mega Super Mario Maker - I like the amusing twists on the original Super Mario Bros designs.

I absolutely love the design of Bowser in NSMB R and Super Mario E World. Really reminds me of his designs from the Mario and Luigi games.

You should make a series where you play levels from all themes from all game styles!

Cheep Cheep, Lava Bubble, and Yoshi's Island is my favorite style!

They have so many styles, no wonder the game is taking forever to release. I really like the SMB2 style, mostly because many of the common enemies from the Mario series never appeared in the game, being a Doki Doki Panic Yume Kojo reskin and all, so everything is new.

So they extended "Fuji Mario" to include all the post-SMB1/2 characters and the stuff like skewers. Interesting! I wonder if people are going to play that style anywhere.

The Super Mario Encore World Style looks like a actual Mario game. While SMBS, is just 8 colors, filled with glitches in the original Sharp X1.

If you don't know, Darby,The sprites from NSMB WII are made with pixels (i guess)

in the city theme the chain chomps were intended to look like dogs. if you look closely you can see floppy ears on them

My favorite game style in Mario Multiverse is Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels... for some reason. Even though most sprites in that game are reused from SMB1, the tilesets are a little better, in my opinion. If the game ever comes out of the closed beta, I would make a stage pack in that style, but I'd also like to try out other styles, too! Darby, you rock!! (This was written by my 11 year old son)

The mario arcade cheep-cheeps are the traps from donkey Kong jr.

For me it has to go to either World or Endless World, some of my favorite artstyle ngl, very vibrant, they both stand out with both lots of color and really good detailing, and while i love the hilarity of CanyArcade, Kirby, and Warioland, W and EW are like, the ideal mario styles.

Being a fan of mario i cant choose all the styles bring thier own sence of nostalgia and make me wanna play mario

Even tho its pretty similar to SMB1, I like the city style, it allows some really cool levels, it feels like the 2D sections in Mario odyssey, which is probably what the Mario odyssey style was trying to nail anyway
