Mario Strikers Charged, known in Europe and Australia as Mario Strikers Charged Football, is a sports video game developed by Canadian developer Next Level Games and published by Nintendo for the Wii. This game was announced at the 2006 Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany as the sequel to Super Mario Strikers for the GameCube. It was released on May 25, 2007 in Europe, June 7, 2007 in Australia, July 30, 2007 in North America and September 20, 2007 in Japan.
The game supports the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, through which players can participate in online matches and tournaments. Upon its European release, it became the first Wii online game to be available outside Japan. It was also the second Mario game released on the Wii after Super Paper Mario and the first Mario game to be given a rating higher than E by the ESRB.

It will always be the best strikers game out of the 3. The gameplay is outstanding. The little details that make the game difficult and put you focused, is just a phenomenally well built. The interaction of the super strike and saving the balls from scoring, the noises and pitch characteristics, the characters just so well done. Man I missed when Nintendo gave us brutally nice built games where you can spend hours on end and still enjoy it. So much was put into these games and nowadays its just bs half done.

Charged was much more fun with the megatrikes and the minigame you had to play to defend against them, if it was in Battle Leauge but with simplified controls, I would have still been happy

I remember playing this game on the Wii. But from the gameplay on the switch is a huge disappointment to me as the stadium just looks smaller (think its to do with camera angle) and also feels less atmospheric. Nintendo needs to step up their game
