The only things I’d change about this is that Mini Mario could’ve been a heal, since that’s what items do, then just adjust it so that he takes extra damage to catch up to the amount already presented (since I agree with it), as usually getting hurt while mini is death.

You'll notice they kept this fight true to the source material in that Cranky Kong is a completely separate person who is at no point Donkey Kong and Mario never fights him. Just the modern Donkey Kong.

They will eventually. The Mario movie was quite successful that they’ll continue with multiple sequels and spin-offs. Maybe with a DK movie. I just hope the DK movie can have both elements from the Country series and the original arcade game. If that happens, then Pauline has to appear and be a main character in it where DK kidnaps her (in this movieverse version, he kidnaps her by accident) and goes on a wild exciting adventure with his DK Crew to save the jungle from starvation because of the Kremlings stealing their food, put a stop to King K Rool’s evil plots and bring Pauline home. The movie should be called Donkey Kong Country: the Movie
