Today, let’s pick up where I left off, and talk about the continued progression of Super Mario Bros Wonder Any%. Nintendo's almost definitely patching the map OOB stuff out. I wonder how that will affect the speedrun, if at all? Obviously if the patch just fixes the OOB stuff and nothing else, runners will just keep running version 1.0. It'll be a bit more annoying due to accessibility issues, but the run itself won't change. But if this hypothetical patch also fiddles with the badges' properties (unlikely since the tweaked functionality would still need to work well with the Badge Challenge levels and especially the true final level, the only notable exception that comes to mind being Fast Dash which would be a pretty big deal if it got tweaked) or introduces new glitches, the results could be interesting.

I think now world 4 is the only world that doesn’t have a out-of-bounds clip I think

This is true (at least in terms of speedrun). But we splitted in two parts instead. After buying fast dash we go out of w4 again and do w5 & w6 first. Then we continue to do w4 at the end of the run. This allows us to collect enough purple coins in the next two worlds to buy another shop seed in w4 which allows us to save time by doing one wonder less. We needed to reroute w6 for it a bit (to get more coins) and made it actually slower. But the timesave we get in w4 is greater than the timeloss we get in w6. Therefore no world is played normaly in one go anymore.

without a way to skip world 5 entirely and maybe some of bowser area too, sub 1 is absolutely not possible. The best Jhay can do right now is assuming incredibly optimally like 1:23
