I remember being the only kid on the block who could complete the game and older kids used to invite me over to play it for them so they could watch how it's done. I knew the warp zone secrets and all and I would use them unless I wanted to play and win level for level and sort of challenge myself so to say. With all that said I still never knew that the Minus World existed. It's amazing how after playing the game countless times and watching videos of people playing it later, I still learned something new about the game. Goes to show you that when you say "all that and more" you're not just saying it for fun. I also learned that you can jump over the flags, I had never done that before playing it. I used to think having beaten the game and knowing about the warp zones was all that was to it and 20 years later you taught me a lesson! Love watching the videos and all the games, along with all the information you tell us about them!

What I love about these video guides, as well as them being extremely exhaustive, is the tone and style giving me vibes of late 80s early 90s video game tips videos on VHS. I don't know what it is, but there's something about the way they'd illustrate key moments in a game, explain how to interact with them, and talk about giving you all the tips and tricks to beat the toughest games and get the high scores. When you hit the flag at the end of a level and freeze the timer, the last digit in the timer determines if you get fireworks with each firework representing 500 extra points. For example, I think the timer ending with a 6 is the most fireworks points you can get if the timer number ends with a 6 you get like 3000 pts for 6 fireworks. I think 1 , 3 and 6 give fireworks with the rest Giving no fireworks.

When I was a kid I'd do the trick where Mario climbs the vine and does the run animation, but I always called it "doing the Mario" like in the cartoon

I am nigh on 40 yrs old and I never knew the secret behind those extra 1-ups. I always thought it was score related or fireworks related because sometimes they'd be there and sometimes they wouldn't. I had no idea it was getting all the coins in the - 3 worlds. Huh! Thanks for this awesome video man!

I figured Mario's breath-holding limit was roughly the same as the level timer. When he's clearing out people's back hair and poop for a living, his ability to hold his breath is gonna get very well honed.

Love the shooms on the sides of the screen! You don't know what you missed playing Mike Tysons Punch Out while tripping on shooms you just picked back in the 80s

That was sick, I haven't seen someone stomp Mario Bros like that since my sister when I was a little kid. I don't know what game you will do next week but it's always fun to place bets with my friends! Here are some of my own guesses for any commenters! Let's see if we can get lucky on the NES library! Megaman (There are so many of these that I think you have five left unplayed) Final Fantasy Lolo a.k.a Eggerman Those are the three I'm guessing this week. My friend is guessing one of the following. Kirby's Adventure Rygar Bubble Bobble

I appreciate the effort you put into this showing us everything that we otherwise may never see Either because people are Speed Running, or simply warping the whole way
