Too bad Jayne Mansfield didn't live to see her daughter become successful. I could imagine she would've guest starred on SVU just like Mickey did.

I had no idea Jayne Mansfield was Mariska Hargitay mother. But I do see the similarities in them now, and I better understand how Mariska first coming on Law n Order, had a certain star quality about herself, how she fit that role so well. Her mom was no airhead bubble brain, either, but very intelligent. I recently saw a documentary on her, and one interesting thing I noticed was how she stayed happy all the time. Like she woke up smiling happy, at a fresh new day. What a great attitude. In this day and time, how many of us can wake up, worry free. I'm still working trying to meet that mark. By her smiling all the time, some not knowing called her, and Marilyn Monroe dumb blonds, but that's not true at all. Marilyn also had a good intellect. What they had in them was love for everybody, and with that type love comes real joy. You can't see a group of kids and greet each one with smiles of love, and get to a child, of another race, and mentally think, 'I can't love you, you're not my race'. You might as well chunk that fake love you were showing to the others, in the garbage, because it's worthless, and God has seen your heart. So the type love n joy, Jayne had is what made her rise, to the top, and of course you may fall in the hands, of the wrong people that can make you go down a level, which is what happened to Jayne, at end. But no matter how the end came, all God is looking at is what you did with your love, in between. And her heart was true. It very well could be that Mariska plays such a good hardnosed detective, seeking justice, because of how her mom's life ended, because I'm sure she loved her mom, very dearly. ✌🏽❤🙏🏻Rest in PARADISE Jayne Mansfield 🌷🌲🎵
