Always remember there are people out there that don't want this profile and and are happy to live the opposite life, being a postman or living in the wilderness.The simplicities of life is all that most want, especially from this sector of work or the security services abroad or at home. All they want is normality, some want recognition or a feeling of self worth....or to capitalise.

A decent guy. Loved the story about the Queen. When I was an RSM, I had a private audience with the Queen for half an hour at Buckinghan Palace when fellow Canadains were on duty, guarding the palace. Prior to going in to see her, I'd watched the changing of the guard. During our chat, whe metioned she'd also watched the changing of the guard from an upper window. "They're very good, aren't they?", she said. What was I going to say? "Well, Ma'am, I thought they were a bit ragged on the right flank?" Not likely. She is in deed a lovely lady.

History is history,very complex& multifaceted! ..No Good White Knights vs Bad Black knights! ..So I think we would better served by leaving these Statues)monuments up and attaching along side some relevant&accurate info(facts not feelings)detailing the Good &the bad about these famous Historical characters!. .Education is key!..And like former Pres Donald Trump or not,he was commander in chief of arguable the most powerful country on the planet&the UK most closest Ally,so he was entitled to be treated with his due respect...And the sane would have applied to Harold Wilson& Tony Blair,(both from the Labour Party) and would have applied to Neil Kinnoch and Jeremy Corbin(regardless of how some Americans would have viewed Socialists)they would have been treated with respect on arriving in the US
