i AGREE with some of the comments. $5,500 seems absurdly low especially given tne low mileage, manual transmission and original build sheet. Not shown but the interior must have been pretty good as Mark did not mention points off for it. Would genuinely like to see selling price after addition of needed materials and labor.

Dang the poor ole boy must have cried when the garage roof caved in on his prized possesion. He had a super low mileage one owner all original (original paint!) beauty until the damn roof fell in on her. Like Mark said sadly because of it the value of it takes a serious hit as it will have to undergo serious repairs destroying a lot of the special aspects like the original paint. At least it hasn't been deemed an insurance writeoff so the ownership will not be branded a rebuild after its completed.

My cousin bought a brand new Super Bee 440 Magnum. He was with his Girlfriend trying to do a time trial from Greatfalls to Billings Montana. Remember this was during a time in the late 60’s when there was no speed limitations. Needless to say he was also drinking which gave him limited reaction time. He was on a secondary road which had little traffic. And came upon a railroad overpass on a curve. Max speed on that curve in very good conditions is 65. They figure he was doing 115 directly into the Railroad Concrete bridge abutment. No guard rails no chance to avoid his/her final moment. The 69’ Super Bee 🐝 would be their last ride into Oblivion.

My neighbor when I was a kid had a Panther Pink Challenger with a white vinyl roof and interior with a (boo) automatic. Not sure what motor or trim but I do remember that she hated that women always assumed she sold Avon 😂. She had a 67 LeMans in gold with a black vinyl top and a 326 and a Hurst shifter with flat black Cragar spokes. When she told me she traded it in for the Pepto Bismark I was not impressed with my 8 year-old self.

@@BryanW163 True that, a mopar oil stain with a vin tag will cost more then $5500 today. Also keep in mind back then that caved in roof repair would cost close to 5 grand with a used roof panel. I don't think a new panel was even available.

As usual, all the experts are in the comment section of youtube. First, this isn't a rare car or a desirable car. 383's are a dime a dozen. Plus, no options. To restore this car you're looking at 50K minimum. A good paint job alone is 15K. So then you'd have a car worth maybe 55K and that's a stretch. Mark would be in this car for over 60K. Mark is the one who got ripped on this deal.

Can't believe how proud you are of weaseling a vet out of $500 on a car thats worth twice what you paid in parts alone. Then to post it for everyone to see. And you're already making money off of it with the footage you filmed, and you'll make more. That is some serious narcissism. As a native Oregonian that delivered the Register Guard in Thurston on my bike, I've enjoyed your show for years but that cuts it. I'm glad to see you getting trashed in the comments. You owe that old man and your viewers an apology.
@CVetteMan11112 ай бұрын
You guys are vicious lol. I'm sure this whole scene was made for ratings. To stir the pot. I agree the car is probably worth more than what was offered. But I think when the cameras were off, they probably did Bob right.
