Drakeford is way out of line. Totally bereft of any understanding of the issues he is dealing with and endlessly blaming the U.K. government, yet 31 years of labour in Wales had seen the economy shrink while they’ve been squandering public funds on 20mph speed limits and on renaming the Brecon Beacons, which is what they will be remembered for.

Was it not the former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson who highlighted in Westminster that the £141m was spent by the Welsh Assembly to "carry out studies" over the Brynglas Tunnels, a debacle that has raged unabated for decades. A bit of history for non Welsh readers, the Brynglas Tunnels carry the M4 under Brynglas Hill in Newport and are just 404 yards or 370m long......but that mere 400yds has been a noose around Wales and a noose ever tightened by a Welsh Assembly whose only successful function has been to promote itself......and to have built a ridiculous looking HQ in the form of "The Senedd" in Cardiff Bay. For the whole life of the Welsh Assembly's existence this bottleneck around Newport has been ignored apart from installing a few Speed Cameras which no doubt bring in quite a lot of revenue to the Welsh Assembly Coffers.........But really to spend £141m and nothing to show for it, just because the current First Minister bottled it, lost his nerve in approving the scheme to bypass the tunnels once and for all time and free Wales if not from the M4 traffic chaos, but also from the embarrassment of the tunnels themselves. It was hoped for by all Welsh people that when the Severn Bridge "taxes" where finally withdrawn, that Wales would have an economic renaissance, that businesses would flourish, tourism would increase, jobs would come over from England into a rejuvenated Wales. Apart from the spectra of the monstrous Celtic Manor Hotel and its eyesore of a neighbouring horrid looking "conference centre" , the next of the Seven Welsh Blunders, in fact No.1, being the Brynglas Tunnels, are set to be a carbuncle on the "ar*e" of Wales for the next fifty years. What a welcome to Wales.......there might still be a "Welcome in the Hillsides" but there will never be a welcome to Wales along the M4 past Newport........... The UK Government must now surely take control before Wales is completely throttled by Assembly inaction, Wales has been awash with cash from the UK thanks to the Barnet Formula, its about time its was spent on real projects and not the "Fantasy Islands" of the First Minister and his cohort of Numpty AM's.

Its ok Mr Drakford, they wont feel fhe pain of the rise in interest rates because they will all be dead because of your failing NHS.

Later that day I was cycling and was shadowed for over 3 miles by a lorry as yes, we were both travelling in close proximity at 20 mph ish... Keeping us this close for longer periods of time will inevitably conclude in Deaths... Drakeford will I hope be charged with involuntary manslaughter with any luck..
