it sounds like a loop of 9/8 - 8/8 - 6/8 - 5/8. I find it hard to conceptualize a longer 7/4 which this adds up to, since al the accents are being played throughout the song

I think the important thing is not yamaha or gretch, it is just performed by Mark or not. That's the point.
