I can't believe Mark Lanegan entered eternal life today. I am so sad and yet so very grateful for his work today and every day. Ugh. This is a heavy, heavy loss. He wasn't done.

I love how you posted the lyrics, but please take another listen. The "some of them know" is more likely "so long alone" and the mind has "escaped the body" is "escaped into hiding." And "sick with a fire descending" is "sick with a virus descending." Burn "Some day" is actually "Burn Sunday.' And "Quick of the match of a mouth stick" is actually "quick to the match with a mile long stick." It is a beautiful song, and it touched me.
