I have said this on other posts with the song that it is a beautiful worship song and should be sung year round, not just at Christmas.

In 2015 on Christmas night at around 10:45 pm I took up my relationship with God while listening to this song. I haven't stopped searching for more of God. He is my reason!

The first time I heard it, I was driving to work. I thought it was a lovely song, and enjoy the lyrics but at the end I started crying and nearly drove off the road. He is the Great "I AM!' nothing can top that.

I'm the pastor of a church for deaf people. Several times at Christmas I've interpreted this song for them and they love it.

Mark’s “Just Whenever” goes live “just whenever he feels like it” and it is so amazing to participate with!! He is such a blessing in my life!! I try to catch every live but if I can’t make it, I can watch the replay! At age 69 I grew up singing hymns in church & it’s unbelievable how many I remember not only the tune but also the words for probably well over 50 hymns! I also love Contemporary Christian Worship music too because I was young enough still during the beginnings of worship music in Southern California at Calvary Church Costa to be part of that as well. God has always used music in my life to reach my heart for Him!! I’m so grateful to Mark Lowry for all he has done through his channel!! ❤😊❤

Mark, This past Christmas Eve ( 2 days ago) I took my neighbor who is a Muslim to my Christian church Shepherd in Porter Ranch Ca for the first time., when Mary did you know played she cried and couldn’t stop she was truly moved . One of my favorite Christmas songs! I think my favorite version is the one performed by Pentatonix. There's just something about it. Maybe it's because it's a capella, but it gets me every time. I always have to rewind the bridge several times when I'm driving in my car listening to it. "The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again..." So powerful, and all the harmonies really elevate it to another level. But it really doesn't matter who sings the song, because it's powerful on it's own. It's really one of those once in a lifetime songs.

I love this song. I remember hearing it for the first time as a new mother and it had such meaning.

The first time I heard "Mary, Did You Know?", it was on the radio in 2005....sung by Wynonna Judd & Kenny Rogers.....and I burst into tears. My daughter was only 8 at the time and didn't understand why I was so distraught. EVERY time I hear it, no matter who is singing it, I cry. Reading so many comments about this beautiful song bringing others to tears makes me feel better! My heart breaks when I think of young Mary, holding her beautiful baby....and I have to wonder: how much DID she know? God bless Mark Lowry!

I have always loved this song, from the first time I heard it. I have often thought it would be a great song to share for Mother's Day. I recently had my women's group to my home for a Christmas brunch. I used this song as part of our devotional. In preparing for this, I got a lot of great info from Rick Renner's series- "Christmas : The Rest of the Story." He did one whole episode on Mary. I shared the video of a "younger" Mark Lowry (LOL) singing it with the Gather Band. It is so powerful. You could feel The Holy Spirit through the screen. I finished with the version of the song done by the people who produced The Bible series that was shown a few years ago on TV. It showed Mary as she was there from the beginning of Jesus' life to the crucifixion and beyond. Our question was, "Are we willing to lay down our own lives to serve the Lord as Mary was willing to do?"

I met Mr. Lowery once, he's a genuinely nice person.

I met Mark Lowery once when he was a student at Liberty College, this was before it became Liberty University. He came with pianist David Musselman and preacher Charles Hughes for a weekend at Calvary Chapel in Minster, Ohio. They were doing a special meeting for our youth group which I was part of. I was either 14 or 15 at the time, I think. I had the privilege of going soul-winning with him on that Saturday and watched as he led an 81-year-old woman to Christ. That was one of the greatest experiences of my life! Mark probably doesn't remember this or even remember me, but I will never forget him.
