In this video , I show you some of my favourite mark-making over a dried watercolour background that I had painted in an earlier video.
I show you my Art Poetry paintings as well as some original art from my deck of 71 cards that I'd published.
I pick a card from the 2024 Artist Almanac calendar, and also show pages from the most recent issue of Uppercase magazine, 61, Landscapes.
This video is unedited and I share my inspiration in the moment in hopes something will ignite in you.

Hi Allison, Thanks for such an informative video explaining your process in mark making. I love your style and your philosophy around being creative. Can I ask you whether you used your Komorebi paints in any of the artworks you showed us as I am thinking of buying them. thanks Milly! I do use Komorebi often, particularly in my last few videos from July... but I almost always mix watercolour brands when I paint (especially off camera), as this is how I have fun with creating unique colours and textures... feel free to email me if you need help finding a video.

I am always curious if you have tried watercolor ground?...and have you ever used things like salt, rice or saran wrap for added texture and interest?
