speaking to a camera for a living is very similar to speaking to a crowd. he has had lost of practice writing for his videos and lots of videos to master his inflection and pacing. the only real difference here is the nerves of facing a crowd but someone with Mark’s personality (one that loves attention) that shouldn’t be too much of an issue for him

Would have been a bit more impressive back when students actually attempted this but got their thing confiscated (according to a different comment). Back then there were no FAA restrictions for something like this. Today you need waivers to do something like this and status like Mark Rober. Today the only accomplishment of this drone is legally being able to fly over the students.

Im sure he just wanted to make sure it went off without a hitch… adding unnecessarily complex components could have been detrimental. Edit: drones are a well researched/well known tech and it’s been engineered very efficiently over the decades it’s been around. Therefore they’re less likely to make mistakes than a new specialized version for aesthetics would have been. When you’re flying something with fast moving parts over a crowd, you want to know it’s reliable!
