QOTSA are so supernaturally tight that it takes an entire team of masters to match their sound. Good song, good cover, cant help but feel that Kevin Parker was underutilised here, however.

So the LAV segment is an original song and a cover. The original was "Daffodils" which is Kevin and Mark's song, so I reckon he was included at the last minute because he essentially already had his moment.

I do this song... I love that the singer sits behind and then rushes that how I do it! The vocal on this needs to be jazzy bluesy and unhinged in-line with the subject matter! Great cover!

the change of tempo/genre and the bass is indeed what stands out for me in this cover, which, believe me or not, I find better than the original. QotSA is one of my all time favorite bands, have took a 2h flight to see the live for two times, but this cover hits me harder. it's just perfect.

For the first time ever, I'm glad I'm so much older than the cool kids. This epic treatment of an already-stellar song is a very obvious homage to Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street (my favorite song when I was five years old). LOL @ all the feels over the Miike drop.
