I believe the staff you see in these videos work for SPA Films rather than being actual staff thats why you see Paul feature in them.

With Conway Park station, in an emergency, the stairs (Which are used by customers during normal hours) can be used as an escape route and as a refuge point for anyone who have mobility problems and the lifts are shut down.

When I was in school we once had to be evacuated as one of the kitchen staff burnt toast. I wonder how you can do it it this day

Seems like they were using a type of smoke detector that is often set off by burnt food (and in schools, the alarm sounds immediately if one of the detectors is activated, or if a manual alarm switch is activated) and the reason why I referred to it as a "manual alarm switch" is because where I live (UK) break glass call points are used (the newer ones have a plastic piece in them which drops down slightly when pressed in to activate the alarm, and then a special key can be used to reset it) whereas in the US they use pull stations (which have a lever of some sort that is pulled down to activate the alarm) as I have no idea where you live, I have described both types of manual switch that I have mentioned
