It was a very average performance, but under immense pressure(being in the super bowl) against excellent defensive players. Which is still bad based on the expectation of Brady. I think he's okay. Not bad. I learn the most from him when he talks o-line. For other positions I prefer Greg Cosell, Eric Mangini, Peyton Manning, Tony Romo, and others.

All other QB's over that same time period are 5-62. Drew Brees has never had a playoff game with a rating less than 73, but he is 1-6 with a rating < 96. Brady has won not one, but TWO AFC championship games with a rating of 57. FIFTY SEVEN. That is a straight up ASS game, and being the stand-up no bullshit dude he is, he is ALWAYS the first one to come out and say that. Historical win % for QB's... in all of NFL history...with below a 73 rating is 13%. In all the years of Tom Brady's career as a starter, it's 7%. Again, Brady is 7-3. 70% win rate. Exactly 10x higher team win % than all other QB's in the league during mediocre performances. Let me be clear -- I am in no way trying to claim he isn't an all-time great QB, but Brady's margin of error over the course of his career has been ASTRONOMICALLY higher than that of every other QB in the NFL, and there is quite literally no way to argue differently. Don't make blatantly false claims.

Rams had 4 ints in that game, and the bears played zone defense, and the Pat's play more man, but in the superbowl the Pat's played a hybrid zone where Gilmore was the only guy playing more man.

Bear in mind, he has to carry a football, carry the fifteen kilos of "protective gear" and has to keep one eye on all of the men wider than most front doors whose job it is to pancake him into the ground. Tru Payne no, that was a game plan that the pats set up. Rams literally had everything else taken away from the pats offense. With the sacrifice of Julian being unanswered. He only was a threat because of his teammates around him doing their job (being taking some of the attention).

@@trupayne9936 Patriots D won that game. Period. Stuffed the Rams run game , stymied the passing game, got em off field forcing 8 punts in first 9 drives. The Patriots ran the ball just effective enough to keep time of possession heavily in favor of Patriots even tho they couldn't finish the drives they still kept Rams D on field and tired them out. 4 the quarter comes they O line pops open some runs McDaniels finds a play that works runs it 3 straight times from different formations last being the big catch by Gronk that set up fg and gassed em completely. Sony easy run in to score from there. Then , again, the Pats D comes up big on pass breakup to Cooks that he actually dropped before getting hit , then the interception on the next play. Lot of Gilmore in man coverage on Cooks, rest of D played zone with D line stunts to get pressure with 4 or 5 guys , then an all out blitz on that int play and they were all in man on that play.

But yes, E caught an awful lot of passes , 10 for 141 , I believe. And made an awful lot of first downs to help run clock and tire out that Rams D. Also the punter and special teams play kept Rams field position in check as well. Really a total team effort by Patriots. That required patience , trust in the game plan, and unselfishness. TEAM WORK!!! Hang in there bruh Rams are young and talented. They'll either learn , or wither from this. Hopefully learn.
