9.5/10 for me. When a compelling story, proper scriptwriters meet the hands of skilled actors, great movies can be put on the silver screen. Back in the day that cinema's were all but guarentied to give us, the audience an experiance worthy of our tickets price... Good times. Hopefuly more of this calibre movie will make it back...

That's the best line in this movie. Colonel would be easy to manipulate and so would the Senator. The kind of people playing Baby Shark to for a week would have them on their knees begging for instructions to do anything. Later they go full on comic book villain and actually laugh about how the truth is what they say it is with the Senator holding cigars. Blowing up the house probably didn't help Bob on the road to recovery though. I fear he may end up choking a man to death in his bedroom because he raped a friend of his later in life and end up going to jail anyways. It's really all resting on his relationship with Sarah in my opinion past that decision. He shot everyone in that house, unarmed people begging to live. Good luck with reintegrating back into society Bob. Maybe a dedicated wife can work with him but she would be sprouting a halo by the time they get old together if he survives his heart attacks. Nationalism. It's like football but people die.

@@stripes8812 that… isn’t how that works. With multiple witnesses in that room to said event, cameras, and including the bodyguards in the room. There are too many witnesses to it to “sweep under the rug”, cause if it ever comes up, every single person in that room would get in trouble for harboring an international criminal. It’s a Big deal, so what would rather lose? You lose a tiny bit of trust in the Government? Or you lose your career along with everyone else’s in that room? If I was the dude I rat on him right away… I’m currently active in the military, and Colonels get in trouble for way lesser crimes. This would be an atrocity and he’d be immediately gone, cause you don’t want somebody who doesn’t bat an eye to commit war crimes as a leader whose at the level of commanding an entire BASE.

If this real life, the fact he just disproved the state's case against him AND the fact the Colonel at that moment would be a suspect in his framing, the FBI director would add 'but you won't make it to an airport fast enough before I find a reason to make it happen."
@EricLing64
@EricLing64 3 ай бұрын
Yeah but I think they often have to cut down on the logical steps for the plot to keep moving. Real life tends to be a lot more boring, usually. Conspiracies and espionage probably the most boring of all, we've apparently had a handful of people leaking intel now for some of the dumbest reasons imaginable, clout on a gaming discord channel, and being catfished on foreign dating app, idiots. At least the full on espionage cases did it for cash seemingly, a few thousand dollars for stuff as I recall, which is a little disheartening how little those idiots are willing to sell out for. Would have thought the spy game would be closer to the millions, but again, real life is generally boring.

I always thought this scene was kinda sketch. Pretty sure they’d test fire the weapon regardless of the condition of the round they retrieved. And seriously, who the hell swaps good firing pins with useless ones every time they leave the house? Lock your weapons up, remove the bolt if you’re that paranoid, or remove the firing pin. But to go to the effort to make bogus pins and swap them out? That’s quite a stretch.
@ajdominguez1002

The conspirators were just needing it to look like it was the weapon used. They were planning on killing him at the sight. However, if that happened, would you watch such a short movie?
@bullgravy6906
@bullgravy6906 6 ай бұрын
I know several guys that, prior to this movie, swap firing pins. Say your guns get stolen, likelihood it gets tested by the thief? Pretty low. Likelihood it’s used in a crime? Pretty high. They steal an essentially useless gun, you have additional knowledge to verify it’s yours once found. And a gun that doesn’t work goes out of crime circulation much faster. In an earlier scene it shows him simply remove the bolt and put another in, my guess would be he does t have a single gun on his rack that’s fire ready until he takes it out, not really a hard task to maintain especially on a bolt action

I don’t know what kind of a person the Actor, Danny Glover is but I do believe that he is an EXCEPTIONAL Actor! Now, lets discuss the personality of the character he was portraying. He (the person portrayed) was a cold-blooded killer who was paid by corrupt politicians... I am not sorry that he (the character portrayed) died at the end of this movie. The only thing I am sorry for is that more of the real evil people in governments do not meet the same ‘bloody end’!

Shit like this is why powerful people continue to do stuff like this…we the ordinary have to prove our innocence beyond reasonable doubt and they can just say oops my bad

Doesnt matter because the USA does not recognize international court and has laws against it as well. Even if you are the ordinary man, you will never be tried by international court. If you are a USA citizen.

Yeah we have international laws that apply to combatants of any nation especially ours where they are supposed to be held accountable. The guy admitted to it and they have photos he would be so screwed.

Clearly not a gun expert if he just tried to load a .50 bmg into an Anzio 20mm
@COMET_C01

Uh that’s not an Anzio 20mm, if it was it wouldn’t be that small, you can see pictures on the internet for a size comparison. The rifle that he’s using now is a M200 cheytac intervention chambered in several calibers such as the .408 or .375 cheytac which are smaller than the 50bmg.

Ya that was a .408 Pace round - for that Cheytac M200 …

@@clandestinetactical Actually how do you tell between the 408 and 375 in this case?

@@COMET_C01 in the beginning of the movie.. when he’s using the M200 for practice on the soup can 🥫… you can see a closer view of the .408 round - it’s not perfect, but you can see it … And being as professional as he is .. I don’t think swagger would run anything different through his own Cheytac M200, I’m not an expert really .. just looking at what’s more probable

@@COMET_C01 technically the .375 and the .408 Pace are almost the same … only the .375 is a bit faster for long , long range

one. dumb. movie! That is full of BS that people swoon over. Swapping firing pins?? Yeah only if its from the same gun(they are not all remotely close to the same) Cycleing the action on a semi-auto Barret in the beginning like its a bolt action?? I could go on....

iirc behind the scenes mentions that the rifle stopped cycling blanks after a lot of takes due to grit building up inside of it.

In 1986, a then 15-year-old Wahlberg and three friends were charged for chasing three black children and pelting them with rocks while yelling: “Kill the n*****s” until an ambulance driver intervened. The next day, Wahlberg harrassed another group of mostly black children (around the age of nine or 10) at the beach, gathering other white men to join in racially abusing and throwing rocks at them. A seemingly unrelated second incident occurred two years later in 1988, when Wahlberg attacked two Vietnamese men while high on PCP. He called one man, Thanh Lam, a “Vietnam f***ing s***” and knocked him unconscious with a five-foot wooden stick, while punching another man, army veteran Johnny Trinh, in the eye later in the same day. Officers reported that Wahlberg used racist slurs to describe both of his victims.

this was literally 34 years ago, you probably weren't around during that time. Also after the 2nd charge he made efforts to change as a person which you can see has been successful. the one vietnamese guy he assaulted ended up forgiving him. people like you are why this world is so unforgiving, people change but opinion's dont.
