Lufthansa Food Review: Bangkok - Frankfurt - Rio de Janeiro
Biggest trip of the year - Bangkok to Frankfurt to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It took 40 hours to complete the journey, and we took Lufthansa Airlines.
In this video I'll show you my full trip, review especially the food on Lufthansa in economy class. We took our first flight from Bangkok to Frankfurt, Germany, and then had something like a 16 hour layover in Frankfurt.
Our second flight was from Frankfurt to Rio de Janeiro. The journey was very long, but all went well and very happy to be in Brazil!

Wow Micah is growing up so fast. Every moment with your children is special and it's exciting to watch them learning. It's one of the many reasons why I loved teaching so much. The little sparkle in their eyes and massive smiles when they understand and grasp what they are being taught. You and Ying are amazing doing all that you do and that you take Micah (and us) with you. You are already a change maker. I say a change maker because of the positive way that you approach a new culture, language and people. You join us all through sharing food. Xx

Traveling alone and with my family is what I did for over 30 years. We saw the world at my company's expense. I am now retired and no longer wish to travel except locally. Imagine going to Nowra, New South Wales in Australia for 3 months.

agree! I'd love to learn more about how you both travel with your child. What things you take to entertain him, etc. Would be helpful for parents - some parents don't travel because the thought is so daunting.

Oh... Rio De janeiro. Wonderful place my wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a trip to Rio. I was a missionary for my church and lived in Brazil for two years. I lived in santa Catarina. Mostly near florianopolis. Alot of the places you visited in your videos we visited too. Brings back the Memories. Thank you for doing a video showcasing the food of Brazil and the wonderfully nice people that live there.

You ate "Züricher Geschnetzeltes" and yes it sounds like "Schnitzel". To "schnitz" is an old german verb for cut (schneiden). So it translates to cutted meat - Zurich style. It's something like a veal stew. The original recipe uses loin of veal but you can use pork tenderloin as well. It actually is a really fine dish if you don't eat it on a plane. It's one of my favourites of the Swiss/German cuisine. It has a light creamy sauce made with white wine, cream, mushrooms, veal stock... all the good things.

I lived in Germany in the 1970s and Lufthansa was the way to go. The stewardesses would walk around with this steaming bowl of hot damp cloth towels so you could scrub up on that long trip. THE BEST!

We love Brasil! Heading to South America in August for 6 months! 40 hours of flying is rough, that's a long flight... Food looks decent at least. Look forward to following your journey.
