I love sakuras. Markal Bs definitely have their place tho. It could just be me but I feel like the marklals right better on rougher surfaces then smoother ones. Also weather is a factor on how well they write. I say the biggest Advantage with the Markal is u can sketch ur piece on wall if you dont have good can control or aren't that good at freehanding.
@ScizGraffiti
@ScizGraffiti 4 жыл бұрын
Never thought of doing that! But yeah, the harder Markals definitely aren't as nice to write with on smooth surfaces that aren't super warm to help melt the paint and make it softer. The Sakuras are great to take their place on that one.
@spwan10

@@ScizGraffiti yeah I normally use them when I'm practicing can control with the NY fat or the fat caps on the flame orange cans. I jusy draw shapes and squiggly or wavy lines with them, than try to keep everything clean n sharp when I go over and fill them in with the fats. An once I've mastered building my letters I'll probably still use them when doing certain pieces.

Imma carpenter and use these to mark wet and grease or rusted metal at work and thats how i learned about them way back when.... but its safe to say.. nothing brings back the joy you only see on a childs face when there marking on walls with crayons... fast forward and yeah same expression as a grown ass man when using these anywhere your not suppose too hahaha.. there are few things thats legit can make am adult a kid again but you go by some dumpsters or metal containers at the docks on a summer day and its gets real kindergarten real quick at least it does for me lol
@bleupapillons
@bleupapillons 2 жыл бұрын
Metallic colors are more expensive to produce, that is why when you get a brand that dont charge extra, you are disapointed with the result. Its because they put less mica pigment into it so that it is equal to the production cost of the other colors. Its just like traditionnal paint, you would pay more for lapiz lazuli genuine paint like 6 to 7 times more then regular synthetic mix. But the color is more saturated and bright. Just like your metallics did not cheap out with the pigment and was better.

are these paint sticks, regardless of the brand, the same as lumber crayons? i know that these paint sticks are literally made out of solid paint, and i wanted to know if the lumber crayons are made out of a different material. i haven't bought a lumber crayon yet so I dont know
@ScizGraffiti
@ScizGraffiti 3 жыл бұрын
Lumber crayons don't quite write with the same resistance and aren't as versatile in different temperatures for the most part. Of course there are exceptions and once you get used to writing with any solid stick, it's no big deal. The only aspect that is specifically engineered a bit better in the solid sticks like these are the pigmentations as these re meant to be seen for a long time, whether it be for marking pipes on anything else. Lumber crayons, on the other hand, aren't made with permanent visibility in mind as much, as far as I'm aware
@evmanbutts
@evmanbutts 2 жыл бұрын
Lumber crayons have way more wax and less paint in them. They are harder, less permanent, and leave rougher less opaque marks

@ScizGraffiti
@ScizGraffiti 2 ай бұрын
I personally prefer markals every day of the week because they are like 7 times cheaper and to me they feel better, especially for freight metal type surfaces, but to each their own. The whole multicolour thing with hand mixed really just makes tags less clear in my opinion, but some people really like the effect so fair play
