It's very cool you made the training chart. I trained in FMA back in the 70s. We didn't do Hubud everything was combat application. I did jujitsu and the gentleman I trained with liked jujitsu so two days a week I'd show him JJ techniques and He would show me Panantukan techniques. He was very good and very fast. Stick, Blade. We spent more time on Panantukan and knife techniques. It was a major learning experience. I spent a lot of time with ice bags over the injuries, but it was very cool and my speed improved. Thanks for the videos.

It is a brave move to change the way that your elders taught the history and training of Arnis. I'm old meself Mate and I was lucky to find Arnis for a short time when I was a teenager. That was Lucky for me, several bloody times. Your concept of sharing Kali with the written word, is genuinely Welcome to those of us who can hardly see Bobby T's hand move. I am Strike First Mark Anastasio (S) FMA. Happy Days Mark. Cheers 🥳

I was looking for Kali Tomahawk techniques, how did I end up here? lmao. But I did and I'm greatful I did. This gentleman has just unravelled the Kali curriculum and laid it all out so that even someone like me could understand it. If you studied with Mr. Anastacio you would progress very quickly in the training and have a better understanding than someone who has you going through the motions and "just letting you learn on the job" so to speak. Thanks brother. That's the best 9 minutes I've spent in a long time. This is going in the Favourites folder.

The objective is to dodge or parry the attack to set you up for the next move. Therefore, you want to do this in the fewest moves possible. For me, it would be your first move in which we simply deflect the punch, go to the side of the opponent. It is easy to perform any takedowns or strikes from the side. All the other moves are fancy and I think just give the opponent more time and opportunity to react. You need to also demo in real speed as well as slow speed so people watching can understand how to use it without stopping in one continuous flow.

I am a student with 3 years into PTK and a lifelong participation in martial arts of one kind or another. I have never had a satisfactory answer to my inquiry about entries that are not reactive. Once I decide that violence is imminent I don't want to wait. What you are calling entries are really reactions. How about a vid on attacks of the first instant, not waiting for a window and hoping you are faster and see it coming.
@WatchMysh

Roshan Zameer only a problem if a student doesn’t understand. 1+1 is easier to teach than primary colours if you catch my drift. Didn’t catch it? That’s cause poetry is more art than math. Give an infant 2 squares and they can distinguish one vs two. Tell them to make a shape, and they’re lost until they grow up and learn more about shapes, composition, etc. In order for a student to practice creating art. They have to understand their tools as basic fundamentals.

@"Hellagay"MMA Why are you here? Yeah: I see a few things that wouldn't be useful in a "streetfight" *IF performed as drilled*. But, guess what, dickhead; That's not what many of these drills and techniques are for. Bottom line is, once anyone's gotten proficient in most eskrima systems' basic drills, they have complete dominance over an average street-fighter's limb movement. Besides, there's maybe a .005% chance that you start shit with an eskrimador who isn't carrying at least a knife... which you won't see until you're bleeding out. Now STFU, quit trolling, and get back to aggro-hugging other sweaty dudes on a mat. Are you usually the top, or the bottom?
