Thanks. Great helpful and clear video. Had an F.28 error which indicated a frozen condenser pipe. Sure enough insulation had come off. Defrosted pipe with boiling water, reset boiler as you showed, and all working again. Thanks.

Your videos are Sooooo helpful. You should do a video for all new boilers, to explain the lowdown on them in your clear and concise manner for the user. Downloadable and of course for a fee. Be worth every penny. Better than any poorly worded and written user manual. Thanks for your efforts.

Magic intelligent and helpful!!! Tap positions when increasing pressure was tricky as difficult to see and tap positions was confusing. I assumed "in line" with pipes would be correct for "on" but no way of seeing pipe direction as its more like a " knuckle "but your pic of black taps being horizontal prior to adjustment helped big time. Yellow knob being vertical during use was noted also it only has a + - icon Glow worm manual diagrams are not colour coded or easy to interpret as they are small and complex to understand even with a magnifying glass and wasn't much help. You saved the day after a F28. Still getting a service though as you mentioned it was a gas issue. I had to bleed radiators to lower pressure from 1.9bar to 1. 2 bar when not firing because I overdid the pressure increase method initially. Would 1.9 bar for 30mins damage boiler during resting mode ( ie) no taps on or radiators? Many thanks.

Key point for people whose Glow Worm boilers come with a timer on the right: If the little round switches are outwards, it means the boiler will come on at that time.

Best tutorial I’ve seen on this boiler. Government is recommending a flow temperature of 60 currently. Would you recommend that?

Really clear instructions, but my boiler just displays 'no' when I press the + or - buttons. It also won't let me switch off eco mode, nothings changes when I press both for 5 seconds. It is the Ultimate 30c, but identical control panel to this one.

This is great - so much clearer than the manual. Only thing that isn't working for me is turning off the eco setting. Pressing the plus and minus button together is doing nothing.

Your boiler water heat is set to 50c or lower it has to be 55c anything below that will turn on ECO mode

Great video, better than any manual. Can you please help me how to stop the F9 fault. I have to reset every time, I have bled heaters but every few days the fault returns. I can't get a service until March so l'm lost what to do. I have a glow worm ultracom 30cxi. Would appreciate any advice 🙏🏼

If anyone has had this problem with their boiler ECO mode not turning off even after holding plus and minus it’s because your hot water Temperature is set below 55c and it has to be 55 for ECO mode to be off then if you try eco mode with plus and minus it will work with plus and minus

Yes i had exactly the same problem. I was told the temp can be set to 40 and still be able to turn ECO on or off but i could not do this but when i set it to 51 it went off. Only if i adjust back to 40 then ECO will stay on.

Love your videos Mark, very helpful and informative. Not sure why but ECO mode on ENERGY 25S is not accessible via pressing +/- together. I think you need to go via diagnostics and set it via the d.18 setting. But i have no idea how to adjust this. If you could make video on diagnostics it would be amazing. Keep up the good work! I love the format and presentation!

I believe the eco is just for combination boilers as it turns off the hot water pre heat

@@galaxydave69 hmm, my boiler is turning on outside of Nest schedule so there must be some sort of pre heating. Need to sort it out with prices for the gas going through the roof.

I've got a Glowworm Ultimate 30c, following your instructions on how to turn Eco mode off didn't work, is that because it's not an energy 30 like in the video? Also, just one question,. I've noticed lately (boiler was serviced in Feb) that if the boiler is not in use, the radiator and tap icons go off, no error code but both are off therefore I am unable to get hot water or heating. Usually just have the pressure reading showing, which is around 1.4/5. I then have to press mode, like in your videos to turn them back on to use the boiler. Thanks 👍

Hi. We have exact same boiler, thanks for the video. Really helpful as manuals are sometimes ful of too much information and the basics get lost, I have one random issue though, sometimes when we turn the hot Water tap on we get a loud rumble, doesn't happen every time so hard to find out what or where its rumbling

Hi Mark, great channel. Thanks for the help. With regard to eco mode, I have this boiler and set the water to come on for an hour twice a day. I use the boost function to turn on the heating the odd hour when needed. I'm wondering if I should I be using eco mode? Perhaps you could help? Thanks

Hi Mark ; your tutorial is fantastic , my daughter likes hot showers in the morning and she would like the hot water temperature at over 60 degrees centigrade but as you know the max temperature is set at 60 in the Energy 25c , how can the hot water be increased to say 65 degrees centigrade if possible please . Hi... Brilliant tutorial.. I just have one question, tho, please. Does this boiler work the same as the Sustain 30c? The reason I ask is we've just moved into a new house with a Sustain 30c and the only way we can get any heat in the house is by turning the radiator function up to 65... Should there be a room thermostat too? Or do you need to rely on setting a temp at the boiler on the screen? Thanks ;)
