When I tell my sister that this is one of the things I miss about home, she doesn't understand. My aunt used to sell in Cross Roads market and it was always fun to go visit with her and shop the market. Thanks for sharing this trip. ❤🇯🇲❤

Let's compare prices with Florida in JD$: 1. tomato Ja= $100 / FL $231. Jamaica win!! 2. Carrots Ja 150, FL 167. Ja win [tie] 3. Lettuce Ja $200, FL $305. Ja win! 4. Yellow yam Ja $150, FL $438 Ja wins 5. Some of the others I could not compare because the prices and units were not clear. EG: In FL, I paid 50c US/ pound for ripe bananas and $0.69 / each ripe plantain. But the biggest difference was yellow yam😅. Good thing I prefer white soft yam better than yellow. Too dry fi me!

Miss Val, Good to see your beautiful granddaughter. I saw her last time at the Christmas celebrations at your son's home. Thank God for the blessings on your family. I recognize the Kingston Parish Church of St. Thomas on King St. When I lived in Jamaica, ( left in 1969) the ladies selling American apples in front of stores like Hannah's Ltd. were the only vendors in that part lof towm.

That is so true, I also remember that and those apples were the best American apples you could stay from far and smell them, now I am in America they do not smell the same. Ms Val you are the best you certainly know how to squeeze and spend your money.
