in your yuotube video titled, " using ranges without using an orderblock", i have a comment, meaning i can only use finding sideways ranges entirely and wholly sideways ranges alone, neglecting 50% pullback deep or no-50% pullback deep, just focus only on sideways ranges, am i correct?

Price action from the high was impulsive down, then sideways range, then continuation, then 50% retrace. At this point I was expecting you to say you'd take a short position there considering you also stated that the target low was contained in the sidways range of the 30 min chart on the big move up. Thoughts? Additionally, the set up at the end you start off with the bullish case because the last move was impulsive up, but then also say it could go down because the previous move down was pretty impulsive too. In the end we are left with playing a 50/50 breakout are we not? I really enjoy your teaching and method, but would like some healthy elaboration here. I actually traded that last set up short, and was stopped out, so I have a vested interest. Thanks!

When I say long and short, I’m looking at both sides to see what is high probability setups for both longs and shorts. Thinking most probable but also the possible.

Great explanations. One thing pops out, After the mitigation of the higher time frame and initiation to the up side into the range the range was below the 50 of the larger sideways structure and the outcome initiated higher. Given the condition of the range after initiation occurred below the 50 percent of the larger sideways range the probability of market initiating upward and not downward has a higher probability then the short?

Nope, the price should go down after the last range. If you count the larger swings, we only had 2swings. The price need to make atleast 3-4 swings before thinking to reverse from a valid mitigation area.

Question : When we try to see both sides of market, we will be confused Whether to buy from bottom edge of range or sell from top edge of range in that last last range example you showed...

@@notjustatrade at 8:52 we are looking for buy low continuation to upside as we are in continuation phase of that green range from below that range. But at 9:57, how can we look for bearish intention of market if we are expecting continuation to upside? Like we were looking for continuation from bottom edge of market to upside and after that you said we should look for both sides of market and see if we can sell from top edge of the range. That is kinda my confusion.

The story will be the same it’s just going to be represented different. A range on the 4h will look like doji candles or bodies with a top and bottom wick while on the 15min you can clearly see consolidation. So it’s the same story
