Prices are as per season and expensive during the monsoon. This day the fish prices were around 600rs per kilo for kingfish (Surmai), 300rs per kilo for medium sized prawns, 400rs per kilo for chonak (barramundi) fish. Problem is lot of fish here comes from as far as Orissa and its laced with formalin.. challenge is to find our local Betul based fish sellers.

This fish is only for the rich coming in cars ,the village people get the remaining small fish, specially those who r poor n old ,n people who have no proper roads n transport to their houses (catered to by migrants on cycles or motorbikes).
