He has the best fleet, the most sought after destinations, the very best business class, a best in class premium lounge facility at Doha, and a service that is second to none. He speaks honestly and tells it like it is. I've heard that when the sales teams at Airbus and Boeing have planned meetings with him, they practise for weeks 😅

I love how stoic and rational Qatar Airways CEO is. It is always a pleasure to hear a melody of a sound and rational mind.

Qatar Airways = great airlines with great service. Their flight attendants are super and food is pretty good on the long hauls. Good interview. Do more of these.

I appreciate Mr. Al Baker calling out the SAF problem and the added cost; the fuel is coming but not anytime soon especially without any real SAF infrastructure. I mean this fuel seems to be decades away from being practically used throughout the world anyway.

I had to use Qatar for a long haul couple of times in a short interval. Qatar actual suited my needs while selecting the airline. This is the secret strategy.

Well done AAB --- A good interview, and he didn't sidestep one of the questions from that slightly 'amateur' interviewer. I agree with other comments here. QR are THE best certainly in the Middle East, Hamid Int'l Airport is sublime, and also as stated here below by others, QR cabin crew are the very best. Qatar Airways is a truly 5* airline in the air, AND on the ground. However, I have two gripes with them, the first is they 'sold out' their route Doha-Helsinki allowing Finnair to take over the route completely. Sorry, but Finnair, are not even on the same planet as QR, let alone being in the same field - awful, awful service. As I use this route at least 4 times per year, I now fly via other cities such as LHR, Oslo or Munich and connect to/from Helsinki with a change of flight, as this is much preferable to 7 hours with Finnair. The second is that due to the pandemic, their service to Dubai DWC ceased, and I would love for them to return to this route.

However, I think it's time for Riyadh Air to take the lead. I've been following Riyadh Air's progress closely, and I'm impressed with what they've been able to achieve in a short amount of time. They have a strong team of experienced executives . i believe that Riyadh Air has the potential to be one of the leading airlines in the world Soon , it drive it ambition from 2030 vision .

The demand for first class has dwindled in the world over the last three decades, that's why most airlines are now have Business and economy classes in their airplanes. Some airlines has chosen to put very few First class seats in their aircrafts.

Not the same as before. Never fly with them again. Recently, They only allow one hand carry item. usually, even with budget airlines, one hand carry item with one hand luggage are allowed on board.
