Here on panel are 2 different set of CIOs. One is Fundamental investor and other is Quant investor. They both agree on importance of technology but when it comes to actual usage of machine learning after 20th min they both have kind of conflicting reviews. What she explained is a very very broad fear of fundamental investors, that ML can do unproductive trades and have it's own limitations, It happens all the time. What is fun to watch is how Man Group and AXA are pitching their strategies to investors.

The lady guest is fluent in buzzwords and she is trying hard to cover up the fact that she has no idea about any of this. She is speaking gibberish. The guy on the other hand gives very good answers.

It's all about the Human/CPU balance. The modern day cockpit of commercial aviation is a good example where it largely works well. Finance could learn a lot from this sector and approach. Another decent example of human judgment blended with computer models is meteorology which generally works well for near term forecasting.
