@@jacee.w Yeah that's pretty much what happened to me. I watched a lot of English cartoons when I was young, so I picked up and learned the language from that. But when it comes to Filipino, I wasn't exposed to too much of it on TV, so yeah, I'm still struggling.

I had to do a family tree for science once and I barely had any names. My dad has 6 siblings and there’s no “reunions”, I meet like a few at a time. Since I’m Chinese we don’t do names, it’s not “Cousin John” or “John” it’s just “Cousin”. Same with “Aunt” or “Uncle” or “Cousin” for some distant relative on my mom’s side that we don’t know what to call relation-wise so he’s Cousin, which I ironically know better than some of my actual cousins.

I can’t even grasp how he can be comfortable doing this video. There’s not just people in the room, but SEVEN people in the room, PEOPLE RELATED TO HIM, and he’s at his grandma’s house so he can’t swear or break things AND he’s speaking a language he’s not very good at with people who *are* good at it there to judge!!! _AND THEN HE GETS SOMEONE’S NAME WRONG_ This video gives me anxiety.

My dad’s side of the family is spread all across the U.S. and every once in awhile we’ll have a reunion and everyone will go to one place and I’ll show up and be like “wHo aRe yOu PeOplE!?!?”
