The animal crossing game was surprisingly wholesome I’m happy they kept the wholesome brand of animal crossing but still managed to make a horror game.

Sometimes I forget Lixian isn’t just a little cartoon man on Marks screen.

I feel that My Secret Little Diary is about a victim of abuse (the player). The diary author apologies, trying to 'make up' for what they've done without actually saying they were wrong for it. Hurting the victim and then groveling later. The rationalization, never taking responsibility. Also, I've heard many people say their abuser(s) made them feel small, which is what I believe to be the point of the player's view dropping so low to the ground.

The second game is about abusive relationships. Specifically how being in one is like a prison. They say awful things to you (the things said in the hallway, and the locked heart room) to make you feel small (the height in the dreamscape), then play on your sensitive side and your caring nature to keep you from leaving (the diary reading) it is an endless cycle that continues until you lose your sense of self, you are saved... or you die (the ending)

God, that second game gave me the worst type of chills. The gaslighting, the trademarks of abuse, just everything- ugh. Creepy in a big way, a really real way. Well done to the developer, you really made it feel authentic and genuinely terrifying on an emotional level

He asked for the jumpscare and when he said “now” a Duolingo notification popped up and I think that was the scariest thing to ever happen.

Mark reading the lines in the second game makes me want him to be a voice actor even more because he’s sO GOOD at delivering lines that can change tone from heart broken to insane with fury to subtly creepy in 0.2 seconds and it’s so entertaining to listen to !

As someone who’s been through an abusive relationship, the second game is really clearly about being controlled by your partner. Even becoming small after reading the diary a few times is fitting, they make you feel like you have no power and that you’re insignificant. Its a really beautiful game tbh

I think it’s about a toxic relationship. From how the person is talking about how obsessed he is with the player and how he wants to stay with us forever and then once we try to read it the person gets upset and gets verbally aggressive.. then leading to the iron maid ( to represent physical abuse). The person then apologizes saying it won’t happen again, they give compliments and say they didn’t mean it etc. Each time the player sleeps and gets smaller, because we feel belittled. And at the end the person says “you think you can manage on your own?That’s cute” and “who else will want you?”. It’s the person trying to make the player feel unwanted and be dependent on the person

Puppet Combo always make such bangers of games. Worth every second playing.

I love it how everytime he tells Licsen (I dont know how to spell his name) to do something, he always gaslights us afterwards until Licsen dose it

I love how at 30:16 Mark slowly transitions from his regular accent to a weird French accent after he reads "these American swine." You can hear exactly when he starts to shift accents, and it takes him a second to get to the French one. I couldn't stop rewinding and listening again
