Well he's keeping on working following his path away from Nightwish...so I guess he's feeling better now

As someone who struggled with anxiety for many years, I wish the best for him too. I know how debilitating it can be. Glad he's been playing again lately and I hope that means the worst is behind him.

Agreed. Not saying vocal/bass player is the most difficult job in the world but every project Marko did was 100% sheer power, no bs, no excuses. I already miss seeing that kind of dedication.

Marco your an absolute legend you worked so hard for nightwish had such fantastic memories. Your health is your number 1 priority same with jukka with insomnia. My son is named after yourself and toumas holopainen.all other band names didn't suit him 😂. Nightwush was full on Job and listening to your music and the new music with tarja. Rock on Mr Hietala your a fantastic talented singer and health your number 1 priority

Nightwish was never the same after they fired Tarja, they thrown her away like a whore. They started descending, drowning, and now they are really dead

nightwish was dead the day they tosse tarja out, and things that lead to toss tara out had hounted them since then...

@@emielpols7578 u may but for me nightwish died that day and now that marko is out to u should know why i think that... i personaly think marko was the only one wich was not on the side of the band as they kicked tarja out... that he hasnt done more for the band was eating on him since then.. and i say it again u can remove a drummer a guitarist a keyboarder, but u cant change a voice without problems... tarjas voice was special and markos to, now nightwish lost both... u may dissagre, but see it in my view, dieing in pieces is only al longer way to decay... which has allready eaten on the corps wich was left...

He wanted Tarja and her husband gone just as much as the rest of the band. In fact, it was Marko who first brought it up. He even threatened to quit the band himself, he was so fed up with her behaviour, but Tarja finally made enough mistakes and selfish demands that Tuomas (with the rest of the band) decided to kick her out and Marko decided to stay. It is clear that you're just Tarjas fanboy but you're dead wrong.

Exactly! Grateful for all he's given us already, and we have hundreds of tracks to listen to. "Tis a far better rest that I go to..." All I want from him is to find his own peace and joy like he has given so many.

Nah. Nightwish is dead. Technically, like a dead end. It's a dead end since Tarja was fired, thrown away like a whore. And probably Marko had enough of Tuomas.

Technically, I don't think that's sad. For me was sad when Tarja was fired. I don't know why Marko stayed 16 years. But I will probably never find the answer.

​@ScoutingRomaniaOfficial Marco and Tuomas were friends and very close, Tuomas is even the godfather of one of marcos sons , he didn't left Nightwish bc he had beef with Tuomas, emppu , troy , jukka and so on, he left because he wanted to perform and do music in a more relax and chill way, which he can't with Nightwish, plus he was pissed with the business side of music, which happens whenever a band gets big enough for worldwide tours, he is seem often in Helsinki around Tuomas place too, it was not like with Tarja where they were more strangers and just coworkers, plus he and Tuomas always wrote songs together

I agree. Getting near divorce is no joke. Currently I'm almost there. This period really, really sucks your life inside out and makes all your insecurities, hopes and fears spread out. If someone is chronic depressive, as Marko is/was - well that can be devastating to already fragile mental health.
