Absolutely fabulous!! Thrilling. Thank you Marko. And thank you Richard for the opportunity to hear a recital of this quality. I loved the musical selections and perfectly matched organs. How fun to hear Salisbury with some BiS magic 😊 - bravo!!!!

Noble and challenging program exquisitely performed! I loved the Bach played so poetically with such dignity and grace (Bach is so often played too fast, to my way of thinking, making his amazing harmonic genius difficult to appreciate fully, or too mechanically and dry, ignoring his human heart). You are a true artist. Bravissimo!

I absolutely agree with you about the speed which some organists play Bach. Not so with this incredible young man who has got it right.

A truly magnificent concert! Thank you Richard/BIS for bringing Marco within our experience. What a brilliant organist, and while I'm sure there are those who may not agee with me, my favourite piece was the Guillou. Marco's playing convinced me of it! Thank you so much, Marco!

Marko Sever certainly gave an astonishing Organ Recital which I enjoyed very much. Richard, you are certainly a fine organist and promoting others to add to BEAUTY IB SOUND. Keep up the good work! Hearing the organ right where you are certainly is better than hearing it at a distance.

I would love to hear you play in Westminster Cathedral. Some rather difficult pieces which you played effortlessly. I will get hold of a copy if your CD. I am a big fan because you are an awesome organist and also a really nice type of guy with stunning good looks and dress sense. Your gift cane from God and you are giving him glory through your phenomenal playing. Bless you Marko.

Virtuosity, skillful registration, and an outstanding choice of recital program, I'd say. I launched into this to find out who Marko Sever is; it ended way too soon. Marko Sever is to be followed. I hope Australia isn't too far to prevent some world tours with your talents. See ya later, Mate. I couldn't agree more about Jean Guillou. He was always my prototypical Wizard Of Oz; in a great way.

Lord Richard, Thank you for letting the BIS Community hear another distinguished artisan in the same league musically like Anna Lapwood. Interesting that his surname is "Sever", which in Russian translates as "North". Yes, I do speak, read, and write in Russian. In re to repertoire - 100% score!!! And the Guillou - The Sinfonietta has a special place in my heart, it being the first Guillou at the tender age of eighteen I was...

Marko, after my last comment on your wonderful playing. I have now listened to the rest of your program and I think you are phenomenal: The Franck and the Bairstow were nothing short of astounding. You must play the latter in York Minster where it was written in mind. I knew Dr Francis Jackson and he would stamp his approval on your performance of his teacher’s composition

Great recital, only just had chance to catch up with this, was background music whilst I did some work e-learning course work. Promotion and a new department in the hospital I work at means more learning so using BiS for background music to stop me going bloody mad 😀 And great to see Salisbury Cathedral Organ has been added to your collection. An English Cathedral Organ was definitely needed in your collection. I guess it now comes in Surround? I'm sure thats why you didn't have it before but I could be wrong?
@beautyinsound
@beautyinsound 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks David. Appreciate your comment! Salisbury isn’t available in surround, but I thought I’d take the leap of faith with it especially for Marko’s performance of the Bairstow. What do you think to the way it sounds on BIS, since it has been through the BIS production desk?
@DavidMiller.93
@DavidMiller.93 2 жыл бұрын
@@beautyinsound It sounds perfect, I can't fault it at all. I'm intrigued to know what the organ sounds like without any edits. I know there are recordings of it on KZfaq but there's no physical organ like that on BiS. Is surround more for the speakers in the actual room? Can you tell from a recording if it's surround or not with no editing? :) I hope you, Caroline and Hugo are well and hope you had a lovely trip (Or still having if you're still away). Fraternal love and prayer as always. :)

Also regarding the Bairstow. When he wrote this , high pitched Mixtures and Mutations were out of fashion so to use them in a performance can slightly numb the authenticity of the piece.

Watching a replay of this was a nightmare. Besides multiple on-screen adverts it broke off in every quiet part for double adverts. I lost count! I cannot believe how may people in the chat were not familiar with the first three pieces of music, however I will admit to not having heard the last two before.

Hi David, really sorry you had this experience with the adverts. KZfaq adds them automatically. I’ll ask Richard to move the adverts to gaps in the programme, although it might take him a couple of days to do this as we have another live concert tonight.
