Great review, in fact it was the one that convinced me to buy a second hand example in late 2023 (a Christmas present to myself…) Straight out of the box as it were it was brilliant - shooting mono as I do, then when I tried the focus peaking function on my Lumix GX8 I started getting disappointing results similar to the worst auto focus ones. So my question from the floor Mark, is what should I turn off in my in-body settings for consistent results? Thanks again for your channel and a happy and healthy new year to you✌️🌹

Ok I had to come back to this video just to confirm how AWESOME this lens is. I bought it based on this video and I loved it. It does produce super sharp photos, and the closer photos look very cool due to the wide angle. This is now one of my favorite lenses and for sure will be taking it to travel. Thank you Mark for your videos!

Don't forget, Fuji cameras like the X-H1, X-T4, X-S10, and X-H2 also have IBIS that easily provides 3 or 4 stops of image stabilization (or more), so it's very possible to shoot the Rokinon 12mm f/2 with stabilization.

This is the first lens I ever bought for myself besides having the kit lens on my Canon M50. I love this lens.

Extremely sharp on the Fuji X-E1... quite amazing really. Great street/travel lens if you are into wide, usually travel with a 28mm/24mm but actually liking 18mm (12mm on APS-C multiplied) better.

Great review. Really informative, in both technical and ergonomic aspects. Thanks a lot Mark. I was confused on which wide angle to go for, for my Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras. Guess I'll go with this. :)

Had mine paired with my a6000 since I bought it about 7 years ago, everything is so crisp with this and perfect for astro photography

I first watched your video of all the fav lenses for M50 and this one really stood out (already have the 15-45 kit, 32mm f1.4 and 55-250mm EF zoom) from the rest. This will be my next purchase, as I really want that good wide angle and astro capabilities. 😄
