I'm also traveling in December and will only have access to a 75lb strongman sandbag for a month. Based on this and your other vids, i think i can come up with something. Replace the snatches with over the shoulder, replace the mill squats with shoulder squats and just focus on volume. Thanks for the inspiration as usual.

Hey @@MarkWildman, chiming in late here but have a question re: 1HC vs 2HC training. Do you advise against training 1HC and 2HC in one week? My personal program is still in its Beta phase, but for now it looks like this: M: C&P (L), Squat (H), Barbell, Bodyweight (rehab) T: Swing (L), TGU (H), Bodyweight (strength), Run/Row steady state W: 1HC, Barbell, Bodyweight (rehab) Th: C&P (H), Squat (L), Bodyweight (strength) F: Swing (H), TGU (L), Barbell, Bodyweight (rehab) Sa: 2HC, Bodyweight (strength), Run/Row steady state The barbell program I run is a progressive six week cycle of three basic movements (squat/pull/press) in a 3x5 sets/reps format. It's meant to be a supplement to my strength training, which has been predominantly bodyweight and kettlebell based. FWIW I picked up your Nerd Math package and Strong & Fit club training series, which I'm still working my way through. Forgive me if you've already answered this two-part question, but will you be releasing a 1HC program, and can the 2HC program be modified for 1HC work in the meantime? Thanks as always for helping us do more better!

Hey coach. ‘Splain to me why snatches and LC are heavy legs. I get that they use a lot of hinge, but there is no squatting. Basic biped moves: hinge, squat, push, pull, and carry. Maybe anti rotation.
@MarkWildman
@MarkWildman 2 жыл бұрын
Because every move is in the hip hinge / deadlift family / power clean family… that means they are all hamstring / glutes all the time. Snatch - 420 submaximal hamstring contractions Long cycle. - has 100 reps of a swinging power clean Mill squat program- every thing is glute load and the …. Squats. It’s not barbell (heavy weight) but it’s a lot (volume)

For the A and B workouts, are you increasing the intensity (i.e. duration or weight) each time you perform the workout? Or more gradually? Are you planning on running the program just for December 2021? Or for a longer period of time? Thanks.

when progressing 12kg (26lbs) single arm club I feel like a heavier weight is nearly impossible. no idea how you are doing 50 lbs 2h easily and excited for up to 80. when I get the 15kg club I will probably need to run volume cycles with 3 reps first then 4 reps until I can get to 5
@CalTN

I worked up to 25lb single arm clubs within 18 months. I can technically swing my 35lb tactfit club with control 1handed but I do not have enough grip to keep it from sliding around. So, I just work in 2 handed patterns until I develop that strength.
