I got the decals from www.mediamixhobby.com.sg ive just had a look and couldn’t see them on there so maybe worth keeping an eye out for any re stocks, or send them an email asking as they were very responsive. Failing that, you could sun bleach your damaged decals but I’d recommend scouring the internet. It seems like it’s such an unpopular kit, the decals and upgrade sets are next to none existent!

Yeah I’d practised a little bit and I’m really satisfied with the end product (although I know it could be better), it was just the thinner ratio zero paints gave me was too little. I asked the guys on Britmodeller and I think the consensus was more thinner in the mix. Still lots of lessons learned which can only be a good thing. Thanks for reaching out, I appreciate it.

You're doing quite, well, I'd say, looking at your models !! ;-) And be careful with Zero Paints. Some colours are WAY off from the original....!!! I once bought McLaren Red. That super bright colour used on the McLarens from the early nineties. The real cars used a mix of 50% fluorescent orange and 50% fluo red. Giving you a very bright colour. Zero Paints' version was a dull orange-brown colour, without any fluorescent effect....!! W....T....F.....?????? I mailed them about it and they said it matched the original colour perfectly. Yeah right. I have seen the original cars, too. Up close. I touched them. At home I made a test strip of various mixing ratios. I kept it next to the paint on the real car. That's how I figured out the correct colour. Zero Paints' colour simply looked brown, next to the real McLaren Red. Their colour for the CanAm car is incorrect, too. I have seen that car with my own eyes, and ZP is wrong about that colour, too. No more ZP for me. I'm on the lookout for something better. Different cars have different colours, in different years, I know. But I have seen the very car that's on the box cover !!! One of ZP colours is a perfect match for Tamiya's TS-49, Ferrari Red. Bought it. Compared it. Well.....guess what...........??

@@telescopereplicatorcrikey, sounded like a nightmare. What primer did you use? I know the primer colour can affect paints appearance. The next car I’ll do next year will either be the Mini Cooper from Fujimi (so I don’t have to worry too much about the colour), or the 1998 Subaru that Colin McRae drove. I haven’t decided yet. Gravity Paints are also an option for car painting as well.

Gravity Paints seem to be far better. I rarely use primers. Only if the paints I use are somewhat transparent. Fluorescent colours should never be painted over a primer. Always over paint, which in the case of fluo colours, should be as white as possible. Many fluo colours are somewhat transparent, anyway, so they absolutely need a pure white base. Not all primers are pure white. That McLaren red from ZP looked brown in the bottle. And even after a really good stir, it still looked brown. A lighter version of Revell 85...... And when sprayed.... still brown. And not a hint of anything fluorescent.... I hope more people complained and hopefully they took notice and made a better colour. I mean.... How difficult can it be? Mix fluo orange and fluo red 50-50 and you can't go wrong. A side by side comparison (Revell - ZP) shows you the difference is huge !!! ZP never do their homework well. I don't trust them anymore.
