Hi @7xfit -- Marlowe is a low-code solution well suited for financial contracts (and more) on UTxO based blockchains. It abstracts the need to deal with UTxO management and provides tools to simplify the development process, the Runner is one of those tools. The target audience would be intermediate web3/web2 developers and founders looking to simplify the development process on Cardano. No Haskell, no deploying backend runtime, no Docker. As easy as it gets in the Smart Contract paradigm!

I'd like to add a bit to what Nick mentioned, from my perspective. Marlowe offers the ability to create, deploy and execute contracts using online tools (no installation), but in my view, that's just an initial hook for developers. Ultimately, you'd want to use it as a DApp developer or business because it reduces costs, risks, and entry barriers. It offers a simple REST generic back-end, ready-to-use libraries, TS-SDK, etc., making it easier to get started on Cardano. Still initial testing bring in a minimal dependencies (Demeter provides production servers, we will expose testing endpoints of our generic Runtime etc.). It's not a one-size-fits-all solution, but you can definitely begin using it in an afternoon without a massive investment.

Few points: * The contract is visible on the chain "as a source" (when contract is simple - we can discuss more sophisticated cases separately) and we have single, known plutus script for it (interpreter) so it is easy to diagnose if a given transaction represents correct Marlowe * All the tools around Marlowe give you ability to analyze the contract from the chain. * Marlowe is higher level language and is "predictable" (whole structure of the contract is known upfront - no loops etc.). To summarize - it should be really easy to audit the contract - I'm not saying that everyone should learn Marlowe but maybe in the future we can have user facing tools which can answer questions like "What are possible outcomes if I join the contract" and get back a range of values which is possible to achieve.
