Incroyable documentaire de recherche, sur ce passé si prenant de la France et la vie de cour, ses sophistications, sa vision des grandeurs. Impressionnée par la machine de Marly, je me dis que cette technologie nous serait bien utile aujourdhui

Thank you for this video. As a reader of Saint Simon I know how important Marly was to Louis XIV. If it was still there today it would rival Versailles as a tourist attraction for people from around the world.

This Chateau and the Trianon Porcelaine where the Grand Trianon is now located are losses to lovers of beauty the world over. Would also love to see reconstructed the Weeping Willow fountain. I thought there was a campaign to either reconstruct some or all of this magnificent place, even if for a grand fete. I understand most of the buildings were covered in canvas and trompe l'oeil, Vive La France.

Muchos de los beneficios de la revolución francesa están hoy en día en todos los paises y regímenes políticos. Dudar o satirizarlos es una mediocridad. Perder un palacio y que caiga alguna cabeza ha impedido que millones de personas estuvieran sin derechos y con muchas injusticias y hambre ocasionados por las monarquias autoritarias, crimínales y despóticas. Prefiero ver el palacio como museo de algo horrible socialmente, pero bello arquitectónicamente.

@@agmoreno2422 Ese comentario tuyo es muy ruín, porque lo mismo que se enriquecieron los monarcas y "mataron" por una patria y poder, es lo mismo que hizo el revolucionario Napoleón y su patética revolución, que desde su llegada destrozó Francia. Y hoy día todos los socialistas comunistas piensan como tú, así vamos!. Entonces dime... prefieres tenerlos de museo y que toda la recaudación, todo el negocio, se lo lleven calentito los políticos republicanos de Francia! y que entre nosotros nos sigamos odiando y matando por culpa de los políticos mafiosos de Bruselas. @@agmoreno2422 Mediocridad es seguir creyendo el mito de una revolucion fracasada que derivo en dictadura. Mito creado por la oligarquia corrupta parisina que tomo el control de Francia despues de 1871. Todas esas cosas estaban en camino, ya que la verdadera liberación comenzo en 1776, en America. Pero por desgracia la ineptitud de un monarca sumado a la ambiciones de aventureros psicopatas como Marat o Robespierre (Germen de todos los mounstros "libertadores" que vinieron despues)

Today France is ungovernable as necessary reforms of Napoleonic reforms seem unfeasible and the country's unity is in danger (e.g. Bretagne). Why not restructure the administration of the whole country following the example of the United States of America?? A solid confederation of French States would be the solution to all problems that country has to experience today. To achieve this goal, the French will have to realise first, what an absurd failure their soc. ""Revolution"" of 1789 actually was, which nothing but created new problems without ever solving one. The Americans got it right bringing all ideas of the Enlightenment to America p e a c e f u l l y and without barbaric bloodbath.
