Very nicely done. Extremely creative. I have never heard of airbrush colors before. Will have to look them up. I love that fluid look. :)

Oh you don't have any idea Nathalie Wigmore the effects that you can achieve with the opaque, transparent and candy airbrush colors. Forget about Adirondack and Tim Holz ink, stains and alcohol inks. Try these! I am in my beginning stages of experimenting with these! I have no videos on youtube of my work, because of, let's say... lack of time and patience to upload... LOL But try them!

Hi Sandra, I know that you have moved on since this great video which is so enjoyable with the music which transports you in a different world. I need some advice as I cannot get my marble dust or marmomehl to crackle . There are slight signs of crackle but no more. I use 2:1 marble powder to binder. With Brexit art materials don’t seem to arrive easily in the UK. Which BINDER DO YOU USE?The one I use is Sennelier. Please help. Thank you so much.
@AbstractRealART3 жыл бұрын
I use the binder from Boesner, which is the Guardi binder. I also use 2:1 marble powder to binder. It is important that the mass is not too liquid when applying. The most important thing is...let it dry with a lot of heat, best in the hot sun, by the oven or floor heating.

do you cover your finished works in anything to help them last or do you trust the materials you use? I just wonder because with so much texture seems I would worry about that
@AbstractRealART5 жыл бұрын
I use a varnish spray that protects the Colors. The structures cannot be protected, but they adhere very well :-) But if they fell to the ground, they would not survive.

Great tutorial but I couldn't see the tutorial for the main feature. How did you create that texture? ;)

Nick Randall That's marble powder with acrylic binder, in German MARMORMEHL ....this results in this structure

Fabulous art.. I love the color burst, so vibrant.. I was wondering if one could get a similar texture effect with crackle Paste. I have DecoArt crackle I have never used, thank you for the tutorial I'm looking forward to trying this ;)

Stefanie Bond Hallo Stefanie,vielen Dank :-) ca. 2/3 MM und 1/3 Binder...aber das ist je nach Produkt verschieden. Die Masse sollte einfach nicht zu dünn sein, sondern kompakt und fest.

Liquitex has many mediums to create texture. I like their Light Molding Paste. Only Golden sells the crackle paste. They are called just what I wrote. u can buy this stuff at Michael's in the US. Hobby Lobby does not carry the Golden brand tho. Or u can buy all this, online, at dickblick.com I know, the name is crazy, LOL, but I have bought from them for years and they are excellent. Go to dickblick and u see a lot of mediums to use for texture. You'll see a lot of stuff u will want. LOL! If you spend more than $100, u get free shipping. p.s. I am not associated with Liquitex, Golden or dickblick in any way!! Just passing on what I know. ;-)
@lizdouglas195210 жыл бұрын
Thank you V! I've ordered crackle and I have other mediums. Now..Sandra used inka or airbrushing paints. That's a territory I haven't gotten into yet! lol

Liz Douglas Check out the link on how to use crackle paste. Liquitex sells acrylic ink. Golden sells High Flow Acrylic which is now their airbrush/ink paint. Both will work the same. Have fun!!

@@vyanen9223 Actually she used Marble dust/flour for the cracked plaster texture,,, you mix it with acrylic binder and if mixed in the right way it will crack with much larger cracks and heavier texture than crackle paste. :)
