Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Mitch Marner got on his horse and made sure he was in a position to stop a clear opportunity by Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin.

He closed a gap of 28 feet. That kid is amazing. I wear his jersey proudly! He even made hits this series... We need our star matthews to start playing the body.
@joemixson46447 жыл бұрын
Matthews doesn't lay the body he goes for the puck and tries to strip you

Auston Matthews not lay the body, play the body.

TheWillStrike and he's been dominant in any playoff atmosphere he's played in. Even last year with the Knights when he won the memorial cup, guy took the OHL by storm and tore the league apart.

When a coach wants to stress hustle to his hockey team, this is the clip he should show them. One of the best snipers of this generation on a breakaway, hustle back and disrupt his timing.

Kid always plays well in the playoffs, when he was on London, the world juniors, and now in the show. Got to love him

Brian Burke: "But where's the truculence?! Where's the testosteronic pugnancity, damnit!" Hahaha!! Marner's never-say-die determination here almost had me in tears.

Sic' em! Marner went after Ovechkin like a doberman after a thief. A rookie hunts down, and catches arguably one of the best players in the league on a clear breakaway in playoff OT no less. This is what you call the DEFINITION of hustle.

not salty, I have no connections to these teams whatsoever! I am sure if you lived in Western Canada you'd understand why these comments pop up now and then.

Ovechkin can't score 5 on 5. What a terrible way to spend 10 million dollars a year when 45% of his all time points is based on a 5 on 4 format, does this guy even know how to skate. seems like every goal he scored in the last decade he is standing still at the left face off dot one timing the puck. Underachieving ovevhkin
