@@hanak0288 I would recommend buying one spool of yarn at a time, yes it will cost the same amount in the long run but it makes you feel better about yourself (also so much easier to carry out of the store). Also michals has really good sales!

you totally should! i started learning last week and i’ve started my first ever project. i’m making a bag where you crochet 13 squares and sew them all together to make a tote bag. i’m so happy i started crocheting! it’s such a great hobby especially if you’re a really patient person.

im going to be making a bunch of blankets for gifts, does anyone know if crocheting with a hook is faster if you find a quick and easy pattern or the hand crocheting for those like pinterest blankets?

it depends on how chunky the yarn is going to be, if it's going to be like hella chunky like stuffed fabric then yea arm crocheting would be so much quicker, however if its going to be much smaller then maybe use a hook

I've made two of these and I'm working on my third but the materials are so expensive. It costs like $35 just to make a small lap blanket. Can anyone please let me know if there are ever any good deals?!

Hobbii is one of my favorite stores for yarn :) they're having a christmas sale right now too so maybe try their website! I hope you find cheaper materials cause that does sound quite expensive !
