Maroon 5 - Payphone - Piano cover by Elise ( Mindstorm EV3 )

8 жыл бұрынThis Mindstorms EV3 robot (we called it Elise) was made during a project of our first year at Fontys Hogeschool ICT. We participated in a talent award at our school and that's when we made these recordings.
Elise is programmed to play piano songs from musescore.org (with some limitations). There is a separate program working on a computer which leeches songs and compiles them into a simple instruction file for the EV3. When Elise receives the file it will be able to read these instructions and play them on any piano.

yeah, but some people don't want to give the effort to learn, you have to remember that, but i do aggree, it is not that hard there are also tons of videos online that teach you the basics of the ev3 and then you can make something better on your own!

Did you have to program each note by hand or is there a program that will convert midi to the hand movements?

There is a program running which takes MusicXML files (MuseScore as source) to 'finger' movements of the robot which ranges from A to G. Obviously this conversion is not perfect as this robot is limited to the C major scale.

Melody should not be divided in wrong octave, disrupts the continuity of it. The only reason this was remotely successful was the way the robot played the B section.
