Edmonton Oilers' Patrick Maroon and Anaheim Ducks' Corey Perry exchange some words late in the third period of Game 6 and to prevent any further fights, the refs decide to throw both of them out the game.

seriously, both were having a good banter... i mean former teammates for 3 to 4 seasons ffs... the lack of quality in reffing this season seems to be more apparent than ever before.

That one was one of the biggest jokes ive ever seen. I mean, there is alot of horrible calls been, but booting 2 players talking to 'prevent' not getting rough last minutes? Is this NHL?

Dylan Walkers i am actually worried if this trend continues. I know all the bla bla about getting rid of fighting etc, they are trying to kill this sport. This call was just laughable

The game has been long decided; in a landslide! -- what usually happens in the last period in such a case is very dirty; to have a short leash, for that matter, is a good policy (esp. considering what went happened before this scene), and it won't interfere with the outcome absolutely 0%So what's you problem? - that Perry was shown the door when it didn't matter anymore in terms of winning the game?... lol? Again, I gotta ask: are you stupid?

There was 4 mins left in the game and the refs probably did not want to deal with fights, its fair enough. The ducks were down 7 - 1 just a waste of time.

That's the epitome of a garbage call. It wasn't even escalating. wasn't like they dropped the puck and he stayed at the bench chirping. reminds me of that scene in Youngblood when the ref is scared

People aren't getting the point why they kicked out perry and maroon. It's because they could've gotten out next shift and try to murder each other. So they didn't want to delay the game anymore then it already had been or the possible chance of someone getting injured. It was just the mentality of the game. If it were to be a 1 goal game they would've kept them in
